Kismit is a cosmic hero in the Marvel universe.  She is a female version of the male hero Adam Warlock.  It is possible she could appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 see Rumors (Spoiler Warning) at the bottom of the page.

Names:  Kismit has had various names over her comic career including Paragon, Kismit, Her (Like Warlock's "Him", and Ayesha.

Bio:
The best scientists in the world create a group called the Enclave.  By having the most bleeding edge technology in the world the Enclave create a massive and highly advanced  laboratory fortress called the Beehive.  The Enclave manages to create a perfect life form whom they hope to control however this lifeform breaks from the cocoon that is housing him and defeats the Enclave.  This lifeform is first called Him and later calls himself Adam Warlock.

The Enclave are not finished yet and create another life form.  This time they manipulate Doctor Strange and the Hulk into helping contain the advanced lifeform.  Once again the Lifeform catches wind of the scientists evil plans and escapes.  This new lifeform goes on to destroy the Beehive then goes back into her cocoon to rest and meditate.  While meditating the lifeform learns of the previous creation of Him and Adam Warlock.  The lifeform then decides to make itself into a female so the two can mate.  The lifeform calls it self Her.

Her sets out to find Adam Warlock. She goes on an adventure with Moon Dragon, The Thing, and Alicia Master where she learns that Warlock had been killed.  She attempts to resurrect the hero but as his soul is stuck in the soul gem the Warlock she creates is soulless.  Confounded by this problem she is flooded with depressive emotions that she does not know how to deal with, and she flees from the other heroes.

She has an adventure on a another world with the Avengers and Alpha Flight.  She then does manage to fully resurrect Adam Warlock.  She begins to realize that possessing the same genetic material as Adam actually makes him a poor mate.  She then selects a group of other heroes who she hopes to mate with that includes Quasar, Wonderman, Hyperion, Hercules, Doc Sampson and Ikaris.  She is attacked for being too forceful in these attempts.

She goes onto aid Quasar in operation Galactic Storm where she helps fight the Kree and the Black Fleet.  Later the Enclave returns and manages to gain her powers for themselves.  However, they lack control of the powers and are forced to flee Earth.  They later return and enslave Kismit and she takes on a new name Ayesha.  As Ayesha she uses telepathic powers to battle heroes but is ultimately defeated along with Enclave.

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 - Rumors (Spoiler Warning):



Elizabeth Debicki has been hired to play a character called Ayesha.  Ayesha is of course one of the names used by the character Kismit.  This is actually the name she uses when being mind controlled by the Enclave.  It is thought she may be the primary villain in Guardians of the Galaxy volume 2.

Debicki has appeared notably in the films the Great Gatsby and the Man from U.N.C.L.E.  She also stars in the show The Night Manager that also includes Marvel Alum Tom Hiddleston (Aka Loki from the Thor and Avenger films).  Tom was apparently one of the first people that Elizabeth told about her being cast and he was extremely excited for her.

Given her profile as an up and coming actress I expect this part to be a fairly large or at least important one.

The first picture of Ayesha is really cool.  It really pops and stands out against everything else.  Ayesha has bright gold skin, hair and clothes.  She sits on the thrown with guards who are also all gold.  The throne is very vibrantly beautiful.  The throne is alike a star burst set against a cosmic/space sky.







Is she from the Cocoon?
One interesting thing is that a cocoon appears in the Collector's museum in the after credit scene of Thor 2 and later in the film Guardians of the Galaxy.  Everyone assumed that the cocoon belonged to Adam Warlock.  However, with this casting it seems entirely possible that the character in the cocoon was Kismit/Ayesha and not Adam.



It is also possible that Ayesha could searching down Adam Warlock.  One long running vien of speculation is that Starlord could be the offspring of Adam Warlock which would unite both characters in search for Adam though for very different reasons.



One other side bar thought- Her origin does involve Doctor Strange.  The circumstances of him helping the Enclave are certainly bizarre so I don't think that will be replicated in the cinematic version of the character but it is possible...especially considering that Doctor Strange is also set to appear in his own film around the same time.

Who is Abraham Ford from the Walking Dead?

Abraham Ford is a character in the Walking Dead comics and TV show.  He is known for being a tough, militaristic, that challenges Rick Grimes for leadership of the group.  In the end he becomes a friend and the right hand man of Rick Grimes.

Bio:
Prior to the Zombie Apocalypse Abraham was a sergeant in the US Army and also spent time working as a coach. During the apocalypse his wife and children are attacked and sexually assaulted by members of the group they are with.  When Abraham returns he goes ballistic and kills the members of the group with his bare hands.  He says he nearly turned one of the men inside out.   Terrified by his behavior his family runs away from him when he goes to sleep.  He tracks them down but it is too late, they are all dead.  Blaming himself for their deaths, Abraham is ready to give up and die.  Before he can kill himself, he runs into a man named Eugene.  Eugene claims to have special knowledge about the Zombie outbreak that can be used to save the world.  Abraham becomes Eugene's protector and begins to pull together a team to get Eugene to Washington DC.





At some point Abraham adds more people including a woman named Rosita into his DC team.  Rosita was treated poorly, and sexually abused in the group prior to Abraham's arrival.  Abraham immediately put an end to that.  Rosita and Abraham becomes lovers and confidants.  Three members of the group try to flee with food at night, and Abraham catches and executes them.  By the time Abraham encounters Rick Grime's group only Rosita, Eugene and himself are still alive.

Rick and Abraham almost immediately come into conflict.  Abraham thinks Rick's group is very green and weak.  Rick thinks the story from Eugene is very questionable.  Abraham instructs the group on how to kill zombies without shooting them, as a way to stay silent and preserve ammo.

A few things happen that make Abraham take on a secondary position to Rick.
Rick at one point leaves the camp to urinate and is attacked by a zombie.  Abraham had followed Rick with the plan of killing him but when the zombie attacked he responded.  He saved Rick, but felt disgusted with himself for his initial plan.
Another turning point occurs when Abraham thinks that Maggie is dead and wants to kill her.  When it turns out that Maggie is still alive Abraham beings to question himself.
The biggest blow to Abraham is when Eugene reveals that he has been lying about saving the world.  This makes Abraham feel like a complete fool.

Abraham becomes one of Rick's most trusted warriors.  In the Alexandria Safe Zone he takes control of the construction crew from Tobin after saving one of the workers, Holly from a herd of zombies.  Holly and Abraham fall in love behind Rosita's back.  Rosita is hurt but does not bear Abraham any ill will.  She does move out of his home.  Abraham is explaining that he loves Rosita enough that he wants to see her happy like he is, when he is shot through the head by a cross bow bolt.

What another Eevee evolution?  Yes that is right there will be another batch of Eevee evolutions coming to Pokemon Go in the Gen 2 expansion.  These two evolution are known as Umbreon and Espeon.  Each Evolution is of a type and the two new Eevee evolutions are not exceptions to this rule.  Espeon is a Psychic pokemon which you might have gleaned from its name, get it ESP-eon.  Generally, Espeon is not considered to be a powerful Eevee Evolution.  I expect Vaporeon to remain the most powerful evolved form.  That said like the other Eevee evolutions getting an Espeon will likely be pretty easy making it popular choice and also increasing the likelihood you run into one in gyms.

About Espeon:

"Espeon is extremely loyal to any trainer it considers to be worthy. It is said that this Pokémon developed its precognitive powers to protect its trainer from harm." Pokedex entry from Pokemon Ruby

Espeon is a Psychic type of Pokemon.  It is one of the final forms of evolution of Eevee.  Eevee has a wide branching tree or web of evolutions it can be turned into.  The design of Espeon is thought to be based off the legends of Nekomata or goblin cats.  Espeon tends to be one of the faster Eevee evolved forms behind only Jolteon and has a strong attack.  Magic Bounce is an ability that Espeon is famous for which causes status effects to be bounced back at attackers.  As status effects are currently not part of Pokemon Go it is hard to see this ability being built into the game.

Now for the ultimate question!  How do you beat, kill, defeat Espeon.  What Pokemon is a counter Espeon?


Espeon as a psychic Pokemon has a type disadvantage to Dark and Ghost Pokemon.

Dark Pokemon tend to be the best Pokemon to use against Psychic Pokemon.  Dark Pokemon have both an offensive and a defensive advantage against Psychic Pokemon.

There are not many Dark Pokemon in Gen 1 but Gen 2 Pokemon provide a couple of great options.

Umbreon is the other new Eevee Evolution form that appears in Gen 2 and it is a great choice against Espeon.  Umbreon is a very solid Dark Pokemon that will also be pretty to get.  An ideal Umbreon against Espeon would have a move set of all dark moves.

Umbreon


Umbreon is my top recommendation to battle Espeon.

Umbreon is fairly to easy to acquire and easily upgradable.  You want to have an Umbreon with all Dark Moves if possible.

Houndoom is stronger vs Espeon if you can find and power up one.



Gengar:


The best all around Pokemon vs Espeon right now is hands down Gengar.  Gengar is one of the top offensive Pokemon in the game right now.  More over his move set works well against Espeon.
Espeon has a weakness to the Ghosttype moves that Gengar has many of.

The best Gengar Move Sets against Espeon are:

• Hex / Shadowball
• Hex / Sludgebomb
• Shadowclaw / Shadowball
• Sucker Punch / Shadowball

Houndoom

Another option to use against Espeon is Houndoom the evolved form of Houndour.  He is a powerful Dark Pokemon.  I tend to think Houndoom will be more rare and harder to get than Umbreon.

Other Options:
Other Pokemon that work well against Espeon are Dragonite and Tyranitar.  Both are obviousily very rare but both have powerful moves that can heavily damage Espeon.

Funko Pop! is hitting the market place with some really awesome Funko Figures for Thor Ragnarok.  There are not quite as many variants as there were for Spider-Man Homecoming.  That is to be expected though as Spider-Man is a perenial top seller of merchandise well above the other heroes.

The figures were released exculsively from the Marvel Youtube show called Thwip! All pictures are from the show.  You can find it on youtube.  I am going to embed the show directly on this page but to be honest I hate this show.





There now been more Funko Figure images released.  These images include figures, mystery minis, dorbz and plushes.  Some of these Funko Figure pictures are potentially spoilerific.  They show characters that have not revealed to be in the film as of yet in the trailers.

Spoiler Warning...Be warned some Funkos are of characters not yet revealed.

Alright alright Rant over I will discuss the Funkos.




Hela
I think the best Funko here is Hela.
There are two Hela's one without a Helment and one with Helment and while both are cool I totally dig the helmented version.  Her eyes glow in the dark which is a cool element.





Hulk
Hulk is another standout for me in Gladiator Gear he looks pretty cool.  He has his helment and his hammer.  He also has the cool white gladiator markings going down his face and his arms.
I do wish he was a little more bulky though.   I don't quite get the immediate that is Hulk feeling from this figure because he is a little skinny.  He could be easily mistaken for an Orc.



Thor
Thor looks good but I find it odd that he is bearded and has long hair.  In this film he is sporting shorter hair in the arena.  That seems like a missed opportunity to do something unique with him.  I would also like to see the red face paint slash that he has in promo materials.



Heimdall, Loki and the Grandmaster
None of these figures did much for me.  Heimdall looks the coolest but I don't immediatly think Heimdall when I see him.  I really like his classic look better.  Maybe after the film I will feel differently.
Really I have the same beef with Loki here in that without his helment and staff he is much less distinctive.







I do wish we recieved a Bersker Funko.  The Berskers are what they are calling the demonic minions of Hela and from what I have seen in the Lego sets they look really cool.

Alright now of some of the Spoilery Stuff!

Here is the Funko that is perhaps the coolest in the whole set.  A character that has not yet been revealed in the trailers but has long been speculated to be in the film.
Some of you have already guessed it.

That is right!  SURTUR!!!!!!

And dang is he awesome!  He is made in part with transparent orange plastic and he looks amazing!  This is a Game Stop exclusive Funko Pop! and I may be taking a trip to Game Stop just to get this.




Mystery Minis
Alright the Mystery Minis are very cool I see a few that are really stand outs.  These are I think the best of the Thor Ragnarok Funko figures.  So much cool stuff here.
 I love the Odin he looks all zen and Yoda like, which is kind of a different pose for the All Father.  Then Surtur and Hela both look amazing.  I don't like the Surtur figure quite as much as the Surtur Funko Pop because it lacks that translucent flame quality but yeah it is still awesome.  The Hela might actually be cooler as it looks more detailed.  I think I see two Valkyries there and they look great.
A couple of characters appear here that I wasn't sure would be in the film.
The Fenris Wolf is in there... Yup that is right Amigos the Fenris Wolf looks to be in the film.  Fenris also appeared in a Lego set.
There is also Miek and Korg from Hulk's Warbound from the Planet Hulk and World War Hulk storylines.  These are both cool characters who I hoped would be here..and THEY ARE!  Also along these same lines there is a Sakaaran Guard who is striking in a red armor.

The Gladiator Hulk and Gladiator Thor are both awesome variants of traditional characters both look like bad asses in these models.  Loki, Collector both look good.  Heimdall hmmm still not sure if I like his outfit compared to the old but I like this mystery mini better than the larger Pop.  Maybe his look will grow on me.  Ildris Elba is one of my favorite actors so I have no doubt he will sell me on this look if nothing else.

Alright though my favorite Mystery Mini is Skurge the Executioner.  He is posing below with his double M16s look from his final battle at Gjallerburu.  Ok That is JUST SWEETNESS.  That is a must!  If you don't know why I like this then let me direct you to the following post as it will explain it for your perfectly.  Yes this is the most awesome figure out of all the Thor figures.  No I am not joking.  For more see ---> Skurge the Executioner's last stand in Hel

Likely my least favorite is Bruce Banner.  He just seems like a dude.  That said I could likely do some science bros stuff with him.

What are Vrellnexians?

Vrellnexians are an alien race in the Marvel Universe who generally have a villanious role.  The Vrellnexians are a species with advanced technology that look down on their species.  They conquer and enslave alien species that they deem lesser to themselves.   The Vrellnexians seem to have similarities to insects with a hive based society and bug like structure.  While they have multiple legs they are often portrayed standing up on their hind legs.  The Vrellnexians first appeared in Thor comics and they will make their first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Season 5 of Agents of SHIELD.

Government/ Culture:  The Vrellnexians serve a Queen in a hive like structure.  They do not have any form of individuallity and will do anything to serve the orders of the Queen.  The Vrellnexians are completly ruthless in their dealings with other races.

History:

The Vrellnexians conquered Asgard and attempted to sell the whole population including Odin into intergalatic slavery.

While the Asgards engages in a fierce battle with the Vrellnexians the aliens had too great of numbers and too advanced of technology.  The Asgardians put up a fight but were conquered.

The Asgardians eventually freed themselves and overthrough the Vrellnexians.

Powers:
Vrellnexians have access to a large population of warriors and very advanced technology.  The Vrellnexians do not seem to have any true super powers.

MCU

Agents of SHIELD Season 5.

The SHIELD team led by Agent Coulson finds themselves kidnapped and brought into space to face a threat posed by the Vrellnexians.

The Vrellnexians are said to be a ruthless group of aliens that travel through the universe in Gravity Storms.  It is unknown if they have a high level of technology like their comic counterparts.

Agents of SHIELD Season 5 will begin with our favorite band of agents having been kidnapped and brought into space where they must deal with cosmic threats such as the Kree and teh Vrellnexians.


Trailers - Teasers:

A couple of things are revealed in the trailer/teasers for season 5.

• First they are definetly in Space
• They will be definetly fighting with the Kree and may other aliens
• There is 4 legged alien monster that is a Vrellnexian a type of alien that first appear in Thor comics.
• SWORD might appear or be created here.

New Pictures:
New pictures were released of portraits of all the agents.

Pod System
One of the key components of Season 4 was the Pod system.  The Pod system broke the Season down into 3 distinct segments each with its own overarching theme.  Each Pod though was very interconnected with things from pod 1 setting up things that happened in the Finale.  I thought the Pods really kept things fresh and interesting.  It provided the show enough time to explore a theme but about the time it was getting long in the tooth it was moving onto the next pod.  With Season 5 it is unclear if the pod system will be kept.  The show runners know that it was popular but also say that the pods were in part due to the TV schedule and its breaks.  The show was effectively starting and ending new pods around the tv breaks.  As the schedule next year will be different its not likely that the system will be kept the exact same way.  However, I think we can expect for them to try introduce new themes in similar manner.

Inhumans



No Marvel MCU property has done as much with the Inhumans concept as Agents of SHIELD.  The show has introduced a bevy of Inhumans, the Kree creators of the Inhumans and even show cased the process of Terregensis.  The show even did its version of the Terrigen Cloud that was a major part of the recent Inhuman's comic story of Inhumanity.  It thus makes perfect sense that ABC was also given the show Inhumans which will focus on the Inhuman Royal family.  Inhumans will be airing in the fall of 2017 prior to Agents of SHIELD Season 5 that will come out in either late 2017 or early 2018.  Its no secret that Marvel has had trouble tying its various properties together to create a cohesive universe.  The Agents often seem to be off on their own with little to no interaction with what is happening in the MCU films.  With ABC having both Inhumans and Agents though it seems likely that they will be able to tie both shows together.  Its hard to say how exactly this will be done, but you can bet on it occuring in some fashion or form.
Coulson is will begin the next season in what appears to be space (could be another dimension) and this could immediatly tie into either the Kree or the Inhumans.

One other thought on Inhumans was way back in Season 2.  Raina gains the ability to see into the future and prophesizes that Skye will become a major Inhuman leader capable of saving their people.  This seems like a pretty big deal, and could in a way make Quake/Daisy/Skye an alternative leader for the Inhumans instead of Blackbolt.

Another loose end is that in Season 2, various Inhuman communities and ruins were shown.  It would be interesting to get an explanation on what all that stuff is and how they relate to the Royal Family.


S.W.O.R.D. or Space Agents?


On 9-26-2017 Marvel released a new promo for Agents of SHIELD with what appears to be a space ship door with a SHIELD emblem.  This seems to provide further evidence of a SWORD or SWORD like plot.

SWORD is an agency like SHIELD that is designated to protect Earth from threats.  Unlike SHIELD however the threats focused on by SWORD are all from alien or off world threats.  The agency has a headquarters in space called the Peak and is run by a half mutant, half alien character named Abigail Brand.  SWORD and Brand were creations of Joss Whedon during his much heralded Astonishing X-Men run.   Joss is connected to Agents of SHIELD because his brother Jed Whedon and sister inlaw Maurissa Tancharoen are showrunners for Agents.  Due to that connection I have often wondered if Brand and SWORD will show up.

There were some potential hints that there could be a space agency.  In season 1, I thought it was interesting that SHIELD was launching 084s into space (Later revealed some were kept on Earth).  Coulson was resurrected by a program called TAHITI using a serum called GH-325 that was run by a group that was not SHIELD.  This organization what ever it was had access to a Kree corpse used to create the serum.   The organization was known by Fury which was how Coulson was revived by the TAHITI program.  When Coulson and company broke into the facility housing GH-325 they entered into a gun fight with non SHIELD guards.  The organization that runs that facility has never been revealed but I often assumed it was SWORD.

Did Marvel just introduce SWORD?


At the end of Season 4, the agents are apprehended by a mysterious organization of soldiers.  They appear to be looking at a green device that is either stopping time, or is a portal of some kind.  An agent with the soldier mentions a window.  In the next scene Coulson wakes up on what appears to be a space station overlooking an astroid field.  Its possible that Coulson is in another dimension like the Dark Dimension but it seems more likely that he is somewhere in space.   This would seem to stronly hint toward SWORD involvement.

There is however a big problem with SWORD involvement in the MCU.  Yes the theory makes sense but SWORD appears in the comics Astonishing X-Men and so its TV rights presumably belong to Fox and not Marvel.  Its possible the company's could reach an agreement to allow the show to use SWORD but these deals never seem to be easily struck.

So if they are not SWORD and Coulson is not on Peak then where is he?  My guess is that he has become embroiled insomething with the Kree or Inhumans and could be on Attilan.

Coulson's Faustian Bargain
At the end Season 5 its indicated that Coulson struck a deal in order to allow the Spirit of Vengeance to enter his body and kill AIDA.  Ghost Rider says he does not envy Coulson but other than that the bargain is kept secret.  What ever the deal was it reasons that it will factor into Season 5 in a major way.

M.O.D.O.K.


MODOK is a major villain that fans have long asked to be part of the show.  His name actually came up a lot in fan speculation for who the Clairvoyant was.
In Marvel Comics MODOK is often depicted as the leader of A.I.M. and is a frequent adversary of SHIELD.  A reformed MODOK appears in some stories as a member of SHIELD.

Why do I think MODOK will be in Season 5?  At all has to do with the character of Superior in Season 4.  The character Superior went through various transformations in Season 4 and there are numerous hints that he will become MODOK.  Expect him to figure into Season 5 in a sizable way.

Loose Ends:
There are some other loose ends that the show could focus on.  Remember the Graviton tease?  did the Blizzard really die.  Did AIM really end after the battle in Iron Man 3?  What about the Man Thing teases, Abomination mentions, is the Griffin still locked up? What happened to Nitro?

On top of that there are couple of other characters that everyone would like see again.  Robbie Reyes as Ghost Rider, Lance Hunter, and Bobbi and of course Deathlok from the first 2 seasons.  Will these characters be given a major role in Season 5?

I know fans would love to see some of those items mentioned and given some kind of conclusion.

The Toylab Bloggers have been looking a lot and drilling into the film worlds and the plans for both the MCU, Fox and Sony.   Things are starting to take shape and a very cool idea has been formed.

We call it the Marvel One theory.

I would honestly like to call it the TOYLAB MARVEL ONE theory but I am not sure if we can Trademark it so I will just settle.

The idea of Marvel One is really simple.  Avengers 4 was initially called Infinity War 2 however that title has since been removed.  The growing thinking amongst us is that, that film may be culmination of not just the MCU but have Kevin Feige's going all the way back to the original X-Men and Spider-Man films.  That Avengers 4 a cosmic event will occure that will unite all of the Marvel properties Universes into ONE single universe.  That means Fox's Fantastic Four/ X-Men, Sony's Spider-Man and Marvel's MCU character would all begin coexisting in the same universe.  Not only would this occure with that film but it would also serve as a reboot point where new actors would be brought in for the major characters.

Update: 11-28-2017 Deal stalled but then came back ROARing!
Deadline reports:

Disney is progressing speedily toward that rumored acquisition of Fox. The version I heard has the Murdoch clan keeping possession of sports and news properties, and the rest of TV and the film studio going to Disney.

Update: 11-6-2017 Disney pursues Marvel One Universe:
David Faber of CBS reports (More on deal read here) on a massive deal brewing Disney and 21st Century Fox which would see all of Fox except for News Broadcasting being purchased by Disney.  This deal would have the side effect of bringing all of Fox's Marvel rights together with the Marvel licenses.  This would mean both the Fantastic Four and the X-Men would finally be part of the MCU.

If Marvel could continue to work with Sony then they would have the licenses they need for the Marvel One universe.

Curiousily this should also allow the publishing unit of Marvel to begin pursing comics in the X-Men and Fantastic Four spheres once again.  The company has been attempting to push the Inhumans (Whom Marvel owns the film licenses for) as opposed to the Mutants in comics but this has resulted in luke warm reception from many Marvel fans.  The Inhumans tv series has also suffered from horrible reviews and a lack luster fan reception making this the perfect time to shelve the royals for mutants.

While Bloomberg has since reported that the talks are now dead this is likely an overly extreme click bait description.  One important piece of this deal that Bloomberg neglected to take into consideration is that the Marvel rights are Non Transferable to anyone but Marvel/Disney.  These rights then can be either be kept by Fox or sold back.  This greatly limits the value of Fox to outside parties.  SONY for instance can not swoop in and buy the F4 / X-Men rights.  If Fox has decided that they can no longer go it alone in the film industry then one way or another those rights will find their way back to Marvel.  It seems very likely that Fox itself leaked the news in an attempt to increase its own value.  The incentive of Disney/Marvel here is clear but that non transfer clause means that there are not an abundance of investors.  There is Disney or Disney and you better believe that Disney knows that.


Update  10-12-2017: -Feige hints at Marvel One:
More evidence of MARVEL ONE theory.  Kevin Feige says on future Marvel plans to Uproxx -

"And where we go beyond that? Of course we will go places beyond that. And, of course, we have ideas of where we go beyond that. But, really, it is all good stories. And as the series finale of Star Trek: The Next Generation said, ‘All good things must come to an end.’ And part of what makes them special, there is a finite quality to the best of fictional stories through history. And we wanted to do that at the end of our first three phases and 22 movies. How we start anew and wherever we go beyond that is a story for another time. This is really about 10 years on, bringing something to a head in a satisfying and unexpected way."

This seems clearly like the main Marvel universe will end but something is going to come out of it.  What will it be?  I am betting on the Marvel One.


There are 3 big reasons that the Marvel One Universe could happen:

1) The Goal from Day 1



The Marvel One Film Universe has been the goal of Kevin Feige all along.  Kevin initially was pitching ideas to both Fox and Sony to get them  to unify there film properties before the MCU was a thing.  The first tease of this attempt was the menion of Doctor Strange in Spider-Man 2004.  This is 4 years prior to the release of the first MCU film the Incredible Hulk.  X-Men The Last that came out in 2006 was also meant to make mentions of other Marvel properties.  The talks between Marvel, Fox and Sony eventually failed.  Fox and Sony did not respect the properties that Marvel held.  At the time it appeared that Marvel had really sold off everything and had very little to offer.  Hulk was partially owned by Universal, Iron Man and Captain America were considered lower market properties.  Fox and Sony saw very little reason to deal with each other as well.  The attempt of Kevin Feige to convince the studios of why a united film universe would be better thus failed.

However, lets keep in mind that was then and this is now.  Since 2004 Marvel has managed to become the biggest player on the film block with films starring characters that executives at Fox / Sony had never heard of, and curb stomping the Fox / Sony films.  The characters that have been held at Marvel have become massively more popular, while those in Sony/Fox's hand have deteorated.

Sony's Amazing Spider-Man series was a bust.  Fox has had more success by upping their game with X-Men Days of Future Past, Deadpool and Logan.  However, they also have had duds with Apocalypse not doing as well as expected and the total failure of Fantastic Four.  Fantastic Four is a major problem for Fox.  One one hand it is a huge property that covers a lot of Marvel characters.  On the other hand the studio seems unable to make anything but a flop out of it.  They will need to make another film though or the licenses will lapse and revert back to Marvel.  This situation seems to put Marvel in a postion of strength.

 Effectively, Kevin Feige was right in 2004 and it has been proven to the executives at the other companys through the performance of the MCU.  Marvel also strengthened its position by going out and bringing back the properties of Daredevil, Punisher, Ghost Rider, ManThing and Blade.  While, these characters may not be as big as a Spider-Man / X-Men they are still major characters and combined with the full amount of Marvel characters remaining they can help flesh out a universe.  Effectively, since 2004 Marvel has gone from being the toddler whining, to becoming Daddy.  And what does Daddy want?  Daddy wants the kids to place nice TOGETHER.  That is right TOGETHER in one cohesive universe.

Fox/Sony/MCU All need Reboots
There is a reality that actors get old.  This has been an issue that comics have managed to avoid sometimes by stretching out time and also by rebooting universes.  When it seems that continuity has gotten too cumbersome the universe blows up and a new one takes its place.  Ussually, reboots occure in comics about once every 10 years.  The MCU is will be 10 years old when Avengers: Infinity War comes out.  Many of the contracts on the tent pole character actors such as Robert Downey Junior, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth and Scarlet Johanson will be up.   Even the newcomer Tom Holland will only have 1-2 more films on his 6 film contract.  The actor contracts seem to mostly end with Marvel Phase 4 films.  These films will likely include:  Doctor Strange 2, Spidey 2, Guardians 3, Ant Man 3, Black Panther 2 and Captain Marvel 2.  After this the universe faces some difficult options but will likely need to find a way to organically bring in new blood to play pivotal characters.  The MCU will need a reboot.
Sony's recent deal with the MCU effectively puts there Spider-Man license on the same life span as the MCU.  When the MCU reboots so to will Spider-Man.
Fox's position is a little more complicated in that it now has 2 generations of actors in roles.  The first generation seem to be finished with the franchise after  Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman effectively retire after Logan.  Fox has a couple of more films planned using the younger characters, and also the characters in Deadpool.  Many of these actors will also be about ready to retire though after the universe releases its next 4-5 films.
Effectively, all of the 3 major Marvel film stakeholders will be ready to do something new around 2021.

Super Hero Fatigue and Competition
It is not 2004 anymore there are now a lot of Super Hero films and there are only projected to be more on the horizon.  DC has its own film universe and companies like Valiant are also expected to enter the fray.  All of the Marvel films will need to an adrenaline boost to get through this.  Even the novelty of the MCU itself will have begun to wore off by 2021.  The company's will be faced with both prospects of increasing quality and also of spacing out their films to not cannibalize each other.  This could best be accomplished by working together, creating a single universe, and spacing out the films.  It just makes good business sense.

Will be people get excited about the One Universe?  Ohhhhhhh yeah.  Imagine something where Thanos loses the Gauntlet and then a stranger walks in the room with a metal suit.  He picks up as the camera pans up we see that it is none other than Doctor Doom.  He opens up portals showing different Marvel universes the X-Men, The Avengers, and Spider-Man.  He says I want to rule them,...........ALL OF THEM.  He then merges them altogether.  BOOM the fans will go NUTS!!!!!  I also think its possible for Marvel to expand on Stan Lee's role in ALL of these film universes as the means of merging them altogether.  That would also be pretty cool.

There is a growing theory that Pokemon Go could be headed toward a major event called the Pokemon War. The Pokemon War would be a massive war that would leave the Pokemon world changed forever! What exactly is the Pokemon War?  The theory of a Pokemon War is not knew and has been talked about by fans for many years.  Lets take a look at the history of the Pokemon War theory here.


Where did Pokemon War theory originate?
In the Pokemon Games a young kid is given the dangerous task of taking a Pokemon companion and traveling deep into the wilderness alone to both capture and discover Pokemon. The child is tasked with filling out a PokeDex (Pokemon Database) to effectively prove that certain pokemon exist in a given area. The world the child lives is full of other children, old people but very few normal aged adults. The government seems to be very small with only a few police officers being depicted. The police officers seem generally unable to stop criminal organizations or help the children tramping through the countryside. Fresh water is mentioned as being rare. The world has cities but generally feels like its full of untamed wilderness.  Few children seem to have fathers, and many children seem to be outright orphans.

Ancient Pokemon Wars have been revealed in the films and games

None of these things are very well explained in Pokemon. They simply are stated facts for how things are in the Pokemon World. Could some of these things however be hinting at a previous calamity?
There are also some direct mentions of a war. In particular the Electric Gym trainer Surge mentions using Electic Pokemon in a war. Surge is not the biggest Pokemon character but he does stick out. He is blonde and seemingly American in a world that is heavily based on Japan. He is also the 4th Gym Leader met in both the video game and the show.  There are other mentions of Pokemon Wars such as  at Parfum palace that depicts old knights who used Pokemon as weapons and partners.  These wars seem to be far older than the one mentioned by Surge however.

When Surge mentions a war most players assumed that it would be something expanded upon and explained later in the game. It never was. Not in that game or in any of the preceding games. Most people then move on and forget about it. However, a Pokemon fan created a Pokemon based Creepy Pasta called the Pokemon War Theory. The Pokemon War theory struck a chord with fans in that tied many of the bizarre aspects of the games together with a reasoning that there was something darker lurking in the kids game, a war.


The Pokemon War Theory Creepy Pasta goes like this:


You have no father, and your best friend is an orphan.

Children are going to a journey around the world.

Your mother accepts you as the man of the house, making your own decisions.

Old man warns you of dangers around the corner.

Most people you meet are children and/or gym leaders.

Most adult men are either very old, or have a job related to the military or organized crime.

Hospitals and gyms are everywhere, but no forms of entertainment such as movie theaters.

LT. Surge:

"Hey kid! What do you think you're doing here? You won't live long in combat!

That's for sure! I tell you what kid, electric Pokèmon saved me during the war!"

You now realize that there was a war in Kanto.

Your father died, and your rival lost his parents.

You are among the first generation of people to live in peace at post-war time.

The Pokemon War Theory is just a theory.  Certainly a Creepy Pasta fan fiction does not constitute a statement of facts.  The theory though has become popular because of how well it utilizes the facts in the game.  A war perhaps involving nuclear weapons would explain why their are few adults, and many orphans.  It would also explain the lack of powerful governments and the lack of knowledge about Pokemon.  The children's task of filling in the pokedex would be an act of gaining knowledge of which Pokemon were left after the war.  It would also explain why fresh water is valuable as much of the world's water supply could be radiated or otherwise poisoned.

For many years fans of theorized about the war.  Who was at war, where was the war etc.  The most popular theory is that the two regions of Kanto and Johto.  However, since Pokemon Go has come out it seems the true nature of the Pokemon War may be revealed.

Why?  

Because Pokemon Go is set prior to the original Pokemon Red/Blue video games meaning that anything occurred directly before those games should appear in Pokemon Go.

How do you beat Pinsir? Pokemon Go questions

"Its Pinsir with an S not Pincer with a C!" That was what a kid at a Pokemon Gym yelled at his friend the other day.  You know that a Pokemon is growing in popularity when you hear someone correct someone else how to say the name in public.

I have not seen very many BUG Pokemon in gyms in Pokemon Go until recently.  I think when an update to quick attack damages occurred something was altered that suddenly gave Pinsir (An evolved Pokemon) a much better attack.  Since then Pinsir's have begun showing up in gyms regularly.

I have not been able to catch a Pinsir.  He does not evolve from a lower Pokemon he is just one of those rare high CP Pokemon that you catch as is.  I don't think I have even seen one's silhouette come across my nearby/sightings screen.  I tend to think the players that have them are getting them through hatching eggs.  If you have a Pinsir let me know how you got it, I am curious.

Pinsir is pretty tough and I have seen it take down a lot of people's Pokemon but it really is pretty easy to counter if you know how....

Want to take down this scary looking Pokemon?  Lets get some strategies.

The reason why there have been many BUG Pokemon taking over gyms is because that their weakness is FLYING Pokemon.  Flying Pokemon are VERY common in Pokemon Go.  In particular there are three really common Pokemon that can be used: Pigeot, Golbat and Fearow.

Most players have a ton of Pidgeys a TON a TON a TON!!!! You should be using all of those Pidgeys for XP harvesting by evolving a bunch of them to Pidgeotto and then a few on to Pigeot.  Sometimes its hard to know what to do with all of these Pidgeys other than harvesting them for XP well here you go. Pidgey/Pidgeotto/Pidgeot are FLYING pokemon and work great against BUG pokemon. Use your best Pigeots against Pinsir and watch those birds eat that bug.

When I was in Calgary, Canada for whatever reason I caught a lot of Zubats.  I have not caught that many Zubats in Denver but certainly a few maybe 5 or 6.  At any rate Zubat is certainly not a rare Pokemon.  Well if you live in an area with a lot of Zubats he can also be used against Pinsir to great effect.  You will likely need to use Zubat's evolved form of Golbat to get close enough in CP.  Zubat is not the easiest evolution I think it takes around 50 candy or so.  If you are in an area with a lot of Zubats though this is definitely an option.

What character will Dove Cameron play on Agents of SHIELD?

Agents of SHIELD has confirmed that actress Dove Cameron will be playing a role in the show in Season 5.  Dove Cameron is an up and coming actress known for her role on Descendants and she also lends her voice to Spider-Gwen in the cartoon Ultimate Spider-Man.  In the announcement Dove shows her excitement and is about to reveal more when she is cut off by a familiar face.

Who will Dove play?
My guess is that she could play a significant character but that is pretty hard to say.  If SWORD is involved in this season its possible she could be Abigail Brand.  She also could be any number of female aliens, or agents.  I don't have any hard theories now but will follow the show closely and look for more clues.

How do you beat Ho-Oh? Pokemon Go questions

Ho-Oh is a Legendary Pokemon and is considered to be the opposite of the Legendary Pokemon Lugia the two are called the Tower Duo.  Ho-Oh is the guardian of the skies and Lugia is the guardian of the seas.   Ho-Oh was released in Gen II.  Ho-Oh was said to have lived in a place called the tin tower before a war broke out and the tower was burned down.  Ho-Oh then created three other special Pokemon in the form of Raikou, Entei, and Suicune.  These 3 Pokemon are called the Legendary Dogs and Ho-Oh is considered their leader in the same way Lugia is considered to be the leader of the Legendary birds.

Ho-Oh is extremely rare. Ho-Oh is the only pokemon that can use the move Sacred Fire.

In the Pokemon anime Ash Ketchum sees Ho-Oh fly overhead making a rainbow at the end of the first episode.  When Ash holds up his pokedex to see what kind of Pokemon it is the the dex responds that it is unknown.  The identity of Ho-Oh is thus one of the first mysteries introduced in the series.

Pokemon Gold Description: 
Legends claim this Pokémon flies the world's skies continuously on its magnificent seven-colored wings.

Pokemon Silver Description:
A legend says that its body glows in seven colors. A rainbow is said to form behind it when it flies.

As a Legendary Pokemon Go Ho-Oh is battled in Raids and has extremely high CP.

Catching the legendary birds-

There were many rumors early on in Pokemon Go on ways to catch Legendary Pokemon.  One rumor was that they were on top of Mount Everest or in Area 51.  These rumors are NOT true.
Legendary Pokemon like H0-Oh can be caught when you battle in a Legendary Raid.  A raid will appear with a 5 Rydon symbol that denotes a Legendary Raid.  Once the Raid pokemon appears it will be one of the Legendary Pokemon, if it is Ho-Oh then you can battle it.  If you successfully beat Ho-Oh you will then get an opportunity to catch it.  To beat Ho-Oh you will to make a team of multiple people to help.  No matter how powerful you are the Legendary Pokemon in Raids are very powerful (Very high CP) and require a large group of people with high level Pokemon.

Alright strategy time well lets start with this Ho-Oh is an Flying / Fire type hybrid pokemon.

 Rock  and Electric Pokemon work well against Flying Pokemon.

Top Counters vs Ho-Oh:
For all Legendary Bird Pokemon a Golem with Rock Throw, works well.  Golem is a must have for Legendary Raids.

Fin Fang Foom - Marvel Monster

Fin Fang Foom is a large alien that has a physiology that closely resembles that of a mythical dragon.  Fin Fang Foom origins go back prior to the Marvel age of Super Heroes however he is now more known as a nemesis to Iron Man.


Alias: He Whose Limbs Shatter Mountains and Whose Back Scrapes the Sun

First Appearance: Strange Tales #89

Species: Makluan / Axonn-Karr

Planet of Origin:  Kakaranathara (Maklu IV) in Maklu System

Galaxy: Andromeda Galaxy in Maklu System

Toylab Note: Some sources put Maklu System in the Great Magellanic Cloud Galaxy (ex. Fin Fang Foom's wikipedia page).  However, as the Kree have full control of the entirety of the Greater Magellanic Cloud so it seems unlikely that Makluan's could act independently of them.  I think these sources are in error and it should be Andromeda.  I have also found multiple sources list Andromeda.  I am sticking to Andromeda until I find a better source that conflicts with this.  For more on this see the Toylab map of Marvel's Andromeda Galaxy HERE.

Bio:


Origins:
Fin Fang Foom is a alien of the Makluan race that hails from a planet in the Andromeda galaxy.  A ship of Makluan containing Fin Fang Foom lands on Earth in China.  The Makluans plot to take over Earth and all of the crew except for Fin Fang Foom leave the ship.  The crew shape shifts into human forms to learn about and infiltrate Earth.  The Makluan's are a very long lived species and take their time in there conquest.  For hundreds of years Fin Fang Foom remains dormant living inside the ship.

The Makluan Space Ship is found by local Chinese and is considered to be a magical tomb of a dragon.  Foom is woken up on a few occasions.  In his first story, Fin Fang Foom is woken by Chan Liuchow who leads the monster into a communist military camp.  Foom destroys the entire camp before being led back to his tomb by Chan.  Chan then uses a magical herb to force Foom to go back to sleep.

On another occasion Foom is attempted to be controlled by another alien race to destroy the Living Colossus.  Fin Fang Foom rests back control of his mind and joins forces with the Colossus against the foes.




Iron Man and Mandarin:
A local warlord is told about the magical tomb of Fin Fang Foom and goes there seeking power.  This man is later known as the Mandarin and becomes a major villain opposed to Iron Man.  In the tomb the Mandarin finds 10 magic rings of power.  He also awakens Fin Fang Foom.  Foom joins the Mandarin and helps him take over 1/3 of China.  When the Mandarin learns that Foom is part of an alien species bent on conquering Earth he joins with the heroes Iron Man and War Machine to defeat him.

While seeming killed in the battle with Iron Man, Foom's spirit still resides on Earth connected to a statue.  A boy steals the statue and Foom uses his body as a vessel to recreate his own body.  Lizards from all over join with the boys body to create one massive dragon like form that finally takes on the form of Fin Fang Foom.  The resurrected Foom is defeated by Iron Man but this time not killed.

After his defeat Fin Fang Foom bounces around between the Isle of Monsters and the Collectors vault before eventually going back to China.

With no Makluan's members surviving from his original crew, Fin Fang Foom eventually decides to leave peacefully amongst humanity.  Foom joins a Monster Rehabilitation group along with Elektro, Gorgilla and Googam.  He eventually becomes a chef working in the Baxter Building in NYC.

Fin Fang Foom has been revealed to be a monster in Monster Unleashed event.

How to beat Ursaring!

Grizzly Bears are immense and powerful animals that are dangerous so it should come as no surprise that Ursaring the Pokemon based off of a bear is also powerful.  Ursaring is the evolution from the Pokemon Teddiursa.  Teddiursa might be the cutest pokemon of all.  He is a cute looking Teddi bear but after Teddiursa evolves into Ursaring there is no mistaking that it is a force to be reckoned with.

Ursaring is number #6 on the max CP list for Gen 2 Pokemon.

Ursaring - 2760 CP Max !!!!

I have caught one Teddiursa in my limited playing time of Pokemon Gen 2.  My guess is that it is Uncommon but not rare.  This will likely make Ursaring fairly common in gyms down the road as people catch and evolve enough Teddiursas to evolve Ursaring.

An Urasring with an all fighting move set would work very well against Rock, Dark, Steel, Ice and Normal Pokemon.  It would not get the defensive weakness to rock Pokemon that Fighting Pokemon have but would have the Fighting bonus against Rock Pokemon.

Now for the ultimate question!  How do you beat, kill, defeat Ursaring.  What Pokemon is a counter Ursaring?

Offensively
When consulting the numbers right now the clear favorite counter for Ursaring offensively is MaChamp.  Other Strong candidates who would do a lot of damage to Ursaring are Heracross, Gengar, Primeape, Hitmonchan, Dragonite (W Dragon Breath, Outrage)

Machamp is just clearly the winner offensively against Ursaring.  Machamp is strong Fighting Pokemon and Ursaring has a weakness to Fighitng moves.
The top Machamp move combination against Ursaring is Counter / Dynamic Punch this is a great move set if you can find a good Machmap with it keep it.

In order the best move sets for a Machamp are:

• Counter / Dynamic Punch
• Counter / Close Combat
• Counter / Cross Chop
• Counter / Submission
• Counter / Stone Edge

For the other pokemon primarily look for those Pokemon to have Fighting moves.  Once again focus on these Pokemon:

• Primape
• Heracross
• Hitmonchan
• Gengar
• Dragonite

Defensively

For a defensive style counter you could try Steelix who generally has some of the highest defensive measures against Ursarings move sets.

Steelix has low offensive capabalities against Ursaring however so I would generally favor the offensive option with Machamp.

Another defensive option is Shuckle.

Does Thanos look......funny?

Thanos is the big bad of big bads of the Marvel Universe. His goal is destroy all life as a way to impress Death with whom he is infatuated.  Not only is does he have this bizarre demented world view but he is also utlra powerful and intelligent.  He also has super powerful leutenants called the Black Order and legions of nasty aliens called the Outriders.  Thanos appeared in the film Guardians of the Galaxy where he sat in a floating throne and said things like he bath the star ways in Ronan's blood.

To defeat Thanos it takes a massive assembly of heroes coming together and the battle almost always ends in many of their deaths.

Thanos is not funny........or is he?

After the launch of the Avengers Infinity War Trailer some on Twitter seem to think the great dark Lord of Marvel looks funny.

I actually think that Thanos looks really good.  Some of these tweets are pretty funny but overall I think he looks great.  There have been a series of twitter rants and comparisons of CGI characters over the past year.  People have laughed at early sightings of Doomsday in Superman vs Batman, they laughed at Apocalypse and they laughed at Steppenwolf.   Of all of those characters mentioned though I think Thanos already looks better than all of them and there is still is 5 months before the film comes out.

Avengers - Infinity War

While the Avengers were torn apart after the events of Captain America Civil War old rivalrys and conflicts are forced to be set asside as a global and potentially universal threat comes to Earth in search of the powerful Infinity Stones.  Thanos, his powerful Black Order and his armies of brutal aliens will stand at nothing to see the Earth destroyed.

Avengers Infinity War Trailer #1 



This trailer features a lot of locations, a lot of characters, it is a very full trailer with just tons of great stuff.



First lets go through a quick break down of what we see:
The trailer opens with alien world in a binary star system.  It seems that Tony Stark is on this planet.

Doctor Strange and Wong find Bruce Banner aka the Hulk has jumped into their Sanctum.

Vision and Wanda have a romantic moment.  Vision appears to be human here it is possible this is due to his use of the mind stone in his head.

Thor is staring out of port holes of a space ship.  This is likely a ship from the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Next we see Black Widow standing next to Bruce Banner in Wakanda.  The severed arm of the Hulk buster arm rests nearby.

We go back to Bleeker Street's Sanctum Santorum where Doctor Strange, Wong, Banner and now Tony Stark look perturbed by an unknown disturbance.

Peter Parker is riding a train when his hair stands on end, he looks out to see a floating circle hoving above the NYC skyline.  The ring structure appears to be a portal that will be used by Thanos to transport himself, his agents and armies to Earth.

Tony Stark is now in the street with Doctor Strange, Wong, and Banner.  There appears to be alot of debris in the street.  Stark also appears to have reinstalled an arc reactor in his chest.

Loki is seen standing amongst many bodies and handing the Tesseract to a large shadowy figutre.  This is likely Thanos.

Next we see Thanos himself walking through a portal.  This portal does not seem to be from the rings so its quite possible that he is using the Tesseract.

Spider-Man is shown in a cool new high tech suit on the giant Ring.

Thor is shown struggling against some other large ring like device in space.

On of the members of Black Order, Proxima Midnight is shown throwing a spear at a shadowy figure who appears to be Steve Rogers.  Black Panther goes on to give orders to call up the Wakandan defenses and to get Steve a shield.  Scarlet Witch is also shown here looking distrought.  Presumably this occures after Vision and Witch are attacked and they may be protecting Vision and his stone.

The Hulkbuster is seen jumping out in a field of Wakanda.  Some have thought that Banner could be piloting this suit and not Tony.  This may make sense as Tony is shown primarily in NYC and not in Wakanda.

We get a brief glimpse of Doctor Strange, the a quick image of Black Widow lunging with a spear.  The scene with Widow could be the battle with Proxima Midnight.

There is a clip of spires crashing to the ground around Wakanda that seem to be transport ships for some large four armed aliens.  It seems likely that the aliens are being sent to Wakanda for an infinity stone.  The stone would either be that of Vision who might be protected there, or Wakanda itself may have the so far unseen Soul stone.

We then get a clip of Thanos slamming Spider-Man to the ground like a baby.  We also see Stark look backward.  Both of these clips seem to be on the alien planet featured in the beginning of the trailer.

There is a really interesting seen where Vision is on the ground and getting the mind stone ripped out of his head.  There are at least two assailants here.  One is using what appears to be Loki's scepter but this is likely the Glaive of Corvus Glaive.  The other weapon looks like a staff may be another member of the Black Order.

Thanos is shown on the alien world dropping in the blue stone to the infinity gauntlet.  At this point he has already acquired the purple Power stone that was featured in Guardians of the Galaxy.  This means that Thanos first visits the planet of Xandar to get the Power stone from Nova Prime.  After dropping in the blue stone he is shown landing a powerful blow that drops Iron Man to the ground.


We then see the shape of a mega battle on Wakanda.  It looks like the heroes there are the Black Panther and is Wakandan forces, as well as Captain America, Falcon, Buckey, Black Widow, the Hulk and someone in a Iron Man suit who I think is War Machine.  Hulk here is not in the Hulkbuster armor.

Finally the movie ends with an eye patched Thor on a spaceship asking who a group is.  When the camera pans we see this is the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Settings:
Alien Planet - This might be Xandar.  Thanos seems to acquire the Power gem first and its possible he wipes out all of Xandar with it.  Some how Stark and Spider-Man seem to make it on the world as well.

NYC - Spider-Man, Tony, Banner, Doctor Strange and Wong all seem to be active for a time on NYC battling a giant ring and who knows what comes out of it.  Vision and Scarlet Witch are also likely in NYC when they have their romantic moment and when Vision is attacked by the Black Order.

Wakanda - We see a few scenes here.  There is a scene where Captain America comes out of the shadows.  There is also what appears to be a few battles against aliens between the heroes / Wakandans.  It is also possible that the scene with Proxima Midnight occures in Wakanda.

Space - Thor is shown in space a few times and is shown meeting up with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Infinity Stones:

Thanos is shown having the Power Stone and Tesseract "Space Stone".  He gets the Tesseract from Loki and must also take down Nova Corps to get the Power Stone.  It appears he acquires the Power Stone first.

Black Panther           Soul Stone       Orange?    Wakanda, Earth   - This is speculation on my part.

While picking off the Collector may seem easy keep in mind that the Collector is a Elder of the Universe and can use the Reality Stone.  Thanos may see the stones on Earth as the easy pickings before pursuing that stone.

It looks like the Black Order goes out to pursue the Vision and likely Doctor Strange to try to acquire their stones prior to large attack on Wakanda.




New Infinity War Poster 

Marvel is releasing a new Infinity War Poster at San Diego Comic Con.  The Poster has Iron Man in forefront backed up immediatly by a group of Guardians of the Galaxy Gamora, Nebula and Mantis.  Doctor Strange, Black Panther, and Spider-Man are next.  War Machine, Winter Soldier and Hawkeye are seen farther back.  Thanos then looms over them all.

Curiousily not seen are the main Avengers Hulk, Thor, Scarlet Witch, Vision and Captain America.  Also not seen are the other Guardians being Starlord, Rocket Raccoon, Drax, and Groot.  Does this mean these characters will not be seen in the film.  Who knows it already has a ton of characters.

The poster definetly makes the point though of connecting various of the films together in this poster. This is where a lot of these new guys and the old guys are getting together.




Mark Ruffalo says, "In the next one everybody dies".
A video making waves right now has Mark Ruffalo saying that all of the heroes die in Avengers Infinity War. Don Cheadle looks at him and says "Dude!". Its hard for me to tell if they are being serious here or joking around.  I know this sounds crazy but I don't find the idea of all, or at least a lot of heroes dieing in Infinity War to be surprising.  That is A) What Thanos does he kills everybody.  Also the MCU will need some kind of reset.  Its going to be a weird reset because some of the films will be going forward after Infinity War like Guardians but its a pretty well known fact that many of the actors are close to filling out their MCU contracts.

Now one thing to keep in mind here the dream sequence of Iron Man in Age of Ultron showed what appeared to be the entire Avengers team dead.  The Scarlet Witch seems startled by what she unlocked in his head like it did not all come from her.  It seems likely this was something of a prophesy or a vision into the future.

The landscape resembles where we see the throne of Thanos in Guardians of the Galaxy.  Likewise the Chitauri forces clearly make up his army and are seen in the distance.  All the Avengers are dead.  Hulk has has many spears jabbed into him.  Captain America's Shield is cracked.  Captain America utters the words... "You could have saved us, you could have done more." and then he dies.

This sequeunce is pretty important to the film as this dream seems to inspire Tony Stark's study of the mind infinity stone and then his creation of Ultron.

After this dream it does not seem all that crazy for ALL of the Avengers to die.

Wakanda


The Kingdom of Wakanda is a highly scientifically advanced nation, considered to have technology surpassing anywhere else on Earth.

Despite the advanced science of the country much of its culture is steeped in tribalistic rituals that often seem primitive.  This contrast is due to the nation rising very quickly from a hunter gather society to advanced modern society in a matter of decades.  This rapid technological growth can largely be attributed to the enlighten rule of the nation's monarch King T'Challa the Black Panther.



 

Wakanda has a deposit of a rare metal called Vibranium that is said to have come from a meteorite.  Vibranium is one of the most prized metals on Earth for its capabilities of sonic absorption, extreme strength, flexibility and relative lightness.  Captain America's shield is constructed from Vibranium.

A Dutch mercenary named Klaw discovers the deposit of Vibranium and begins to steal it.  He is opposed by T'Challa's father, T'Chaka the then Black Panther.  Klaw kills T'Chaka.  T'Challa manages to use Klaw's weapon against him and repels him from Wakanda.

T'Challa realizes that his people are ignorant of the powers of Vibranium and sets out to learn all he can.

When he returns he uses his advanced scientific, business, and political mind to remake Wakanda.  By selling small quantities of vibranium the country becomes extremely wealthy.  The wealth is invested into infrastructure and technology that quickly turn the country into the advanced state it is in today.

This has become one of my favorite maps for Wakanda it comes from the recent comic and shows both the geographic features as well as some of the political aspects of the state.

Comics and Trades:
I normally only recommend 4 trades from Amazon however I have linked directly to 8 here.    I highly recommend Don McGregor's Black Panther Jungle Action the 1973series which fleshes out Wakanda.  I grew up on and love Christopher Priest's Black Panther that modernized the character.  The recent Black Panther: A Nation Under Our Feet is also phenonemal, while being very different from all other comics.

MCU: Wakanda Concept Art for Black Panther:

The Wakanda concept art for Black Panther is pretty amazing.  Even in fantasy stories the history, culture and technology of Wakanda make it a very unique place and I think that is really being reflected in the art that is coming out.  I really like the way in which you can see old huts and things being integrated with high tech skyscrapers.  It really shows the blazing pace of technological innovation that occurred in Wakanda.

The only thing I can thing of history that has occurred like this was after Japan opened up after years of isolation.  They had struggles with how to modernize while also maintaining their identity.  In Wakanda you can also see this struggle which is perhaps even more manifest.  They are not just catching up to other countries but blazing past them.  You can see in various of these pictures that Wakanda has taken to preserving old buildings and statues from their past, while creating new monuments all around them.  The art gives the impression of history and thought as a place develops overtime and it really tells its own story.

I was really worried that Marvel's Wakanda would just be skyscrapers and giant Panther statues kind of an inch deep comic back drop.  However, by looking at this art it gives me great hope that Wakanda will feel very much alive and be telling its own story in the background of the film.

Who is Ebony Maw?

Ebony Maw is a brilliant but maniuplative member of the Black Order of Thanos.   The Black ORder is a 5 member super team constructed by Thanos to be his elite group on the forefront of expanding the power of Thanos. Ebony Maw is rumored to appear in the film Avengers Infinity War along with the rest of the Black Order.  He is a relatively new character but has become popular with notable appearances within the stories of Infinity, Cabal, Time Runs Out, Secret Wars, and Thanos.

Bio:
Ebony Maw is much like a cosmic powered version of the Purple Man who villainized Jessica Jones.  He has brilliant, manipulator with an added power of persuasion.  Maw does not have the ability to read minds, or feelings and has said that he must gain information from his victims through their own words.  He is though very successful at manipulating his victims to tell him what he wants, and then do what he wants.

The early years of Maw are unknown.  He is powerful, morally indifferent and selfish and is recruited into Thanos's Black Order.  His purpose in the Black Order is as a spymaster he gains information, sows discord, and gains influence.  Unlike the other members of the Black Order, Maw has no true fighting capability his powers are isolated into the realm of influence and persuasion.  Maw is not loyal to anyone including Thanos.  He makes it clear that he does not like Thanos, or even agree with the goals of Thanos.  He serves purely out of respect of Thanos's power and when opportunities to topple Thanos arrive he is consistently the first betray him.  Maw is consistently the first to betray anyone if it serves his own ends.

When Thanos sets his eyes on conquering Earth and taking the Infinity Stones he sends out his Black Order with various tasks.  Maw is sent to neutralize and control the Sorcerer Supreme Doctor Strange.   Once Maw has control of Doctor Strange however he begins to see a way to betray Thanos.  He uses the abilities of Strange to learn about Thane the son of Doctor Strange.  When Thane's powers go off Maw moves in and gains control of Thane.  He uses Thane to entrap both Thanos and Corvus Glaive in his amber power.  Effectively, Thane is able to entrap powerful entities in a state of living death.

Maw stays with Thane guiding, advising and training Thane to become a cosmic Tyrant much like his father.  In Maw's eyes (at least in his manipulations) Thane has the ability to be greater than his father.  The two run into trouble when attempting to conquer the realm of Corvus Glaive.  Glaive had prepared for Thane's attack.  He used magic from a special coven of witches to depower and capture both Thane and Maw.  Thane waited 8 months for Maw to free him but later learned that Maw had escaped and left him to rot in prison.  The whereabouts of Maw are unknown.


Powers:

Manipulation Ebony Maw is able to persuade people to say and do what he wants.  This seems in part due to his powers but also due to a kind of brilliance in understanding what motivates people.

MCU:


Ebony Maw is rumored to appear in with the rest of the Black Order in the film Avengers Infinity War.  He is relatively new character but has become popular with notable appearances within the stories of Infinity, Cabal, Time Runs Out, Secret Wars, and Thanos.

A man in a CGI suit has been seen battling Doctor Strange with a tag labeling him as Maw.  Presumably this is Maw confronting Doctor Strange much as he did in the comics.  The pictures for the scene can be seen on JustJared.com.

Recently, Marvel internal affairs have become far more interesting than the comics they publish.  All year long they have had troubles with sales and finding their narrative footing.  The Secret Empire Event was a complete and total disaster and the company wisely began to take a harder look at its leadership.  . This led to Alex Alonso being removed from his position as Editor and Chief and a replacement by CB Cebulski.

Many who have been critical of the quality (Or lack there of) in Marvel comics recently have applauded the move and are hopeful that he can turn the giant comic publisher around.

Then another bombshell hit.

CB Cebulski once wrote beneath a pen name and the internet went all  SHOCK spasms GASP.  What was worse is that his pen name was Asian sounding and the internet went SHOCK spasms GASP.  There has been a long running rumor that Cebulski wrote beneath the name of Akira Yoshida.  Akira was a seeming Japanese comic writer who came out of almost no where and was picked up by Marvel to write some more Asian stylized works for them.   Akira went on to write X-Men: Age of Apocalypse, five of Elektra: The Hand, five of Wolverine: Soultaker, five of X-Men: Kitty Pryde – Shadow & Flame, five of X-Men/Fantastic Four.  The rumor was that CB was actually Akira and had used the name to get around Marvel policy that forbid Marvel editors from also writing stories.  CB always denied the rumor as did Marvel.  However, when CB was promoted this old rumor came up again.

This time CB admitted that he indeed write beneath the name of Akira Yoshida in the early 2000s.


Lets talk about Pseudonyms
There are some people who seem very offended by the idea of a pseudonym.  I have heard many say its dishonest.   Let me just say that I am shocked that you are shocked.  I hate to break it to you but for a long time, lets even say since Biblical times fake identities have been used to market the written word.  The names are used for a variety of reasons.  Sometimes they are used because someone wants to maintain their anonymity, other times they think the name has a better chance of being published. and at other times its just branding a particular work.

I am going to say a truth now that will startle you.  I have met thousands of successful writers and the bulk of them at one point or another used a different name or identity to publish something in.  The reasons for this are legion.

Let me throw out some names for you.

• Steven King wrote beneath the name of Richard Bachman
• JK Rowling initially used the name of Robert Galbraith
• CS Lewis used two other pen names N. W. Clerk and Clive Hamilton
• Joyce Carol Oates used the pen names of Lauren Kelly, Rae Jolene Smith,  
• Isaac Asimov used the name of Paul French
• Agatha Christie wrote using the name of Mary Westmacott
• Dean Koontz used over 10 different identities in his writing career including Aaron Wolfe, Brian Coffey, David Axton, Deanna Dwyer, John Hill, K.R. Dwyer, Leigh Nichols, Anthony North, Owen West, and Richard Paige.
• Anne Rice used the names A. N. Roquelaure, and Anne Rampling two write various erotic, fantasy novels.
• Michael Crichton used the names John Lange, Michael Douglas, Jeffery Hudson

There are also many famous writers known by their pen name / pseudonym / fake identity

• George Orwell - Real name was Eric Blair
• Mark Twain - Samuel Clemens
• George Elliot - Was actually a woman by the name of Mary Ann Evans
• E.L. James - Erika Leonard
• Dr Seus - Theodore Seuss Geisel
• Lemony Snicket - Daniel Handler
• JD Robb - Nora Roberts

The Hardy Boys novels were all published using the name Franklin W Dixon but were written by various ghost writers.  There are infact far more "Ghost Writers" out there writing beneath other peoples names than you might beleive.  

It would not shock me if someone statistically found that 50% of published books are written by someone who was born with a different name than what is actually on the cover.  This also does not bother me in the slightest.  When you buy a McDonalds cheeseburger are you disturbed that the burger was made by someone not named McDonalds?  The author's name is nothing but a brand used to sell products of the author.  Just as a company may create a different brand to sell some products an Author can choose to publish his/her work beneath a different name.

I am going to say something controversial here.  The use of pen names is less an indictment of the writers as it is of the reading public.  Why do we as readers care so much about who writes something than what is actually being written?

Why CB should wear Akria Yoshida like a badge of honor

The really cool thing about the Akira Yoshida story is that it does not seem like CB used his influence at Marvel to get Akira Yoshida published there.  Instead, it seems that the works published by CB beneath the Akira Yoshida name were noticed and he was reached out to seperately.  Think about about how amazing this is.

There are thousands maybe million of talented professional people who are trying to work for Marvel and DC.  That is their dream job.  Many people who work for those company's talk about how you have to be a master of your craft and also really lucky.  Getting one of these jobs is part merit and part winning the lottery.

CB Cebuliski is the only guy I know of who managed to get noticed for his work and hired by one of the big two TWICE.


I guess at the end of the day I have a really hard time blaming someone for doing something that gave them an opportunity to work or work more.  People who do quality work are a great thing and CB is one of those people.

So Aeon River (No not the name I was born with) am still happily bumping along on the CB Cebulski Train.
