As a boy Matthew Murdoch is caught in an accident involving radioactive waste.  The exposure to the chemicals makes Matt blind.  Overtime, Matt learns that his other senses have been drastically heightened.  He can smell like a blood hound, hear conversations from blocks away, and his sense of feel gives him dramatic control of his body.  In addition to his heightened senses he gains a radar sense that allows him to pin point the placement of objects in space.

Matt's father Jack is a boxer he refuses to train to his in how to fight.  Instead, he forces Matt to focus on academics so he can live a different life.  Jack is killed after he refuses to throw a fight.  After his father's death Matt vows to get vengeance and begins to undertake intensive martial arts training.  Dressed as Daredevil Matt confronts the gangster that killed his father the Fixer.  Fixer has a heart attack and dies.

    Frank Miller
Writer Frank Miller took over writing the character in the 1980s.  These stories largely ignored the continuity of the earlier stories. Miller wrote a much darker anti hero version of Daredevil whose father was abusive.  This Daredevil would use guns when required.  The new dark image of Daredevil stuck and he remains one of the darker characters in the Marvel Universe.  Miller also introduces the Kingpin as the primary nemesis of Daredevil.

In the Miller story Daredevil receives special training from a branch of good ninjas called the Chaste.  The Chaste are a led by a wise, and powerful martial artist by the name Stick.  At one point Daredevil falls in love with another Stick protege the assassin ElektraElektra left the Chaste to join a the nemesis of the Chaste a group of bad ninjas called the Hand.  Elektra is brutally killed by another assassin Bullseye in the well known story of Daredevil #181.  The Hand is reoccuring villain of Daredevil over the years.

    Top 10 Iron Fist Villains

    Iron Fist Top 10 villains!

Iron Fist does not have a very large. rogues gallery.  He has often fought Spider-Man, Avengers, and Luke Cage villains over his history.  Not many villains are distinctive Iron Fist villains.  That said while there may not be many villains related to Iron Fist there are a few really great ones.  Here is Iron Fist's top 10 villains!

I would say really my favorite characters on this list come from the Immortal Iron Fist series.  Many of these characters are not true villains perse but more gray in morality.  They are adversaries that Iron Fist has faced though and so they end up on the list.

    Toylab Kung Fu Store:
Toylab is a member of the Amazon Affiliate Program and can offer great Kung Fu merchandise deals directly from Amazon.

There really is not getting around the fact that some of the lesser known characters on this list are pretty dang weak.  Not to hate on you Danny but you really need to pick some fights with some cooler people.

Number 10)  Warrant (Click here to learn More!)

Warrant is a high tech Bounty Hunter who is sent after Iron Fist and nearly kills him.  He has very few appearances but who knows that could change.

While he has not appeared very much I have to say that I like Warrant's design and weapons and would like to see him again.

Number 9)  Zhou Cheng (Click here to learn More)

Zhou Cheng is a demon infested martial artist who has killed prior Iron Fists in the past.  He makes a notable appearance in the Iron Fist Netflix series.

Number 8)  Tiger's Beautiful Daughter (Click here to learn MORE)

Not really a villain but another Immortal Weapon who is competitor of Iron Fist's in the Heavenly Cities Tournament.  She is able competitor whose beauty hides her deadliness.

Number 7)  Bride of Nine Spiders (Click here to learn More)

Alright another morally ambiguous character but this time we have truelly terrifying character in the Bride of Nine Spiders.  Some suspect that she we will be in the Netflix Iron Fist series.

Number 6)  Fat Cobra (Click here to Learn More)

Fat Cobra is my favorite character on the list.  He would be higher on the list if it was based off just being hilarious, awesome and cool.  However, he slid down to 5 because he is really not a true villain.  He is one of those morally gray characters that sometimes battles Iron Fist and sometimes battles with Iron Fist.   What side is Fat Cobra on?   Well that's easy the one with the most girls and alcoholic beverages.

Number 5)  Scimitar (Click here to learn More)

Scimitar is basically a super powered thug, but a cool super powered thug.  He is generally one of the henchmen of Master Khan.  He also has some history battling the X-Men.

Number 4)  Crane Mother (Click here to learn More)

Crane Mother is a terrifying evil leader with mystical abilities that wants to counter the Iron Fist in the Heavenly Cities tournaments.  I also believe that Crane Mother is Madame Gao in the Defenders Netflix shows.  So watch out if I am right she has already appeared in the MCU.

Crane Mother also joins forces with the Steel Serpent to bring down Iron Fist.  Her knowledge and mystical skills make her a formidable opponent by herself.

Number 3)  Master Khan (Click here to learn More)

Master Khan is one of Iron Fist's oldest villains and has cropped up from time to time to battle the Heroes for Hire as well.  He has magic abilities that help him engage Iron Fist.  He also flew on a jade tiger which is kind of cool in and of itself.  I really think if they bring back Khan they should make the Jade Tiger steed a mainstay.

Number 2)   Prince of Orphans (Click here to learn More)

The Prince of Orphans is actually a good person but has a terrifying amount of power.  He is on the list for the story where he is chasing and attempting to kill Iron Fist.  Few on this list can match his sheer powers, experience and martial arts bad assery.  When things go south with the Prince of Orphans you are in very big trouble.

Number 1)    Steel Serpent (Click here to learn More)

Now on to the number one villain Iron Fist villain and this is actually a no brainer.  He is both a great villain and has deep history with Iron Fist easily making him the hero's nemesis.

Davos also known as Steel Serpent trained with Danny Rand in Kun Lun and was his primary competitor to become the Iron Fist.  He believes that Danny stole the mantle that was rightfully his.  He then adds to his power by seeking out other mystical abilities that help him counter Danny's Iron Fist abilities.

Steel Serpent is Iron Fist's true Arch Enemy.

    Other notable Iron Fist villains:

    Scythe (Click here for More!)

Scythe is one of the first villains to face Iron Fist in the comics that has martial skills.

Abbot Thanademos (Click here to learn more)

This jerk found a magical book and cause problems for a newly resurrected Iron Fist.  and....and.......yeah that is about it.

Pretty hard to get too excited about Abbot Thanademos.  He might also make for a good Doctor Strange villain though.

    Bio:

Corvus Glaive is the right hand man of Thanos charged with leading the armies of Thanos and his elite Black Order.  The Black Order is made up of 5 select super powered individuals that ruthlessly carry out the will of Thanos.  Generally when Thanos sets his eyes on a planet the Black Order arrives and ensures one way or another that the planet bows before the Mad Titan.

In this capacity Corvus acts as a General, Diplomat, Thug, and Executioner.  He serves the Black Order along with his equally sadistic wife Proxima Midnight.

He is depicted as generally cold and calculating however he does get great pleasure in destruction and causing pain.

Thanos sent Corvus Glaive to Earth to locate his son Thane so that he may be killed.  Thanos saw Thane as a threat to himself.  While Corvus found Thane in the remote Inhuman city of Orollan he was quickly beaten.  The Avenger Hyperion killed Glaive and apparently entirely destroyed his body.  However the Glaive weapon of Corvus Glaive was intact and from that he eventually regenerated.  Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight, and Thanos are held prisoner for a time but are eventually freed by Namor.

    Cabal/Time Runs Out:
The worlds of the Marvel Multiverse are colliding in events called Incursions.  The powerful and learned group known as the Illuminati has found that the only way for their world to survive is to destroy the other world.  The Illuminati quickly loses their stomach for sentencing innocent worlds to their death and thus submit to the inevitable that their world will be destroyed on the next incursion.

Namor is not able to accept this and so he frees Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight and Thanos to form a Cabal that will do the task that the Illuminati is unwilling to do.  The group attacks and destroys the other Earths in each Incursion.  Seeing the joy that the others take in the whole sale slaughter of worlds eventually makes Namor sick and he secretly joins the Illuminati in his wish to stop the cabal.  He forms a plan but is eventually betrayed by the Illuminati and is trapped on the oncoming Earth.  The Cabal manages to escape onto a third Earth which ends up being the Ultimate Universe.  On the Ultimate Universe they join with the Maker (Ultimate Mister Fantastic) in building a Raft that can survive the collision of worlds.  This leads them to taking the raft and landing 8 years into the future of the eventually created Battleworld created by Doctor Doom.

The Cabal soon encountered members of the Thor Corps the Police of Battleworld.  They managed to defeat them but were then scattered by Doctor Strange Battleworld's sherrif.  Lost from each other Corvus found himself encountering Baron Apocalypse and his Four Horse Man who baddly beat him and turned him over to Doctor Doom.

After the events of Secret Wars, Corvus Glaive found he was in a world without Thanos and took advantage by becoming the ruler of the Black Quadrant.  Thanos returned defeated Corvus Glaive and gave him the option of killing himself or letting Thanos kill him at the last moment of his life.  Glaive chose to end himself and killed himself with the blade from his Glaive.

    Powers:

The exact power set of Corvus Glaive is never fully explained however he has proven capable of going up against strong opponents:
    • Super Strength
    • Super Speed
    • Super Durability
    • Survives in space and other extreme conditions

He is said to be a tactical genius.  After Proxima Midnight reviews Earth's military history she declares that her husband Corvus is the greatest military mind to have ever walked on Earth.

The Corvus's glaive weapon he uses also grants him some extra powers:
    • Can cut any surface including the skin of Hulk and Hyperion
    • Can regenerate Corvus Glaive if it is all that remains of him.

    MCU:
Corvus Glaive is rumored to appear in with the rest of the Black Order in the film Avengers Infinity War.  He is relatively new character but has become popular with notable appearances within the stories of Infinity, Cabal, Time Runs Out, Secret Wars, and Thanos.

A stunt man was spotted on the set of Avengers Infinity War carrying what appears to be weapon of Corvus Glaive.   Other shots were taken of similar stunt men carrying weapons that appear to belong to Proxima Midnight and Super Giant who are also members of the Black Order.

Who is Shatterstar? Marvel Comic Characters

Shatterstar is one of the founding members of X-Force.  He is set to make his first film appearance in Deadpool 2 where he will be played by actor Lewis Tan.

    Real Name: Gaveedra-Seven

    Alias: Shatterstar, Benjamin Russell

First Appearance:  New Mutants #99 (1991)

Teams: X-Force, X-Factor Investigations, The Cadre Alliance, New Mutants

Quote:   "I...LIVE. AND FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A LONG WHILE.....I FEEL WHOLE. THANK YOU" (Shatterstar after being merged by Longshot into the body and soul of Benjamin Russell in X-Force #61)

    Marvel Store:

    Bio:

Shatterstar is an extra-dimensional gladiator who after arriving in the present day Earth joins forces with Cable's X-Force team.  Part of the agreement between Cable and Shatterstar is that X-Force will eventually go through time and help Shatterstar free his world from the control of Mojo.  He is well known as one of the original members of the team X-Force.

Shatterstar grew up in Mojoworld battling in brutal arenas of Mojo.  There he developed a strict sense of honor that he used to maintain his sanity and sense of purpose in the horrible conditions.  Eventually, he managed to join the rebel forces called the Cadre Alliance to oppose the rule of Mojo.  The leader of the Cadre a powerful scientist called Arize sent Shatterstar on a mission to recruit the X-Men to battle Mojo.  Shatterstar was sent through time and dimensions where he met Cable (New Mutants #99 1991).  This is the same time period where Cable begins to reorganize the New Mutants into the group known as X-Force.  While initially Shatterstar battles Domino and Cable they later become freinds and he joins the new team that Cable is creating.

Shatterstar with X-Force battles the Alliance of Evil, encounters the New Warriors, battles Proteus, defeats the Mutant Liberation Font and Repear.  Along with Spider-Man he battled Tom Cassidy and the Juggernaut.  In another battle he fought Toad's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.

Shatterstar initially told Cable and everyone else that he had no parents and was born from artificial means.  However as time went on this was proven not to be the case (See Origin section below).

Shatterstar while initially confused by romantic relationships eventaully forms a relationship with Rictor.

    Shatterstar's bizarre and mysterious Origin:

Shatterstar's origin is something of a mystery as his story goes in a lot of different directions and involves time travel and different dimensions.  Shatterstar is from the planet called Mojoworld which is different than the Mojoverse.  While both Mojoworld and Mojoverse are planets controlled by the media obsessed tyrant of Mojo, the Mojoverse is a parallel dimension of present day Earth, while Mojoworld exists about a 100 years in the future.  Shatterstar's eventual travel to Earth made him both a time traveler and a dimension hopper.

Shatterstar initially says he was a genetically engineered warrior/gladiator and was born from a gestation chamber.  However, after a duration on Earth, Shatterstar discovers he has memories that come from a comatose Earth mutant named Benjammin Russell (X-Force #61).  Bizarrely Benjammin Russell  shares his appearance.  Shatterstar and Longshot are able to effectively merge the soul of the pair making them one person.  This story seems to suggest that Shatterstar came from Earth and that Benjammin Russell then came became Shatterstar after traveling to the Mojoworld.

To make his origin a little more complicated is the relationship with Dazzler and Longshot.  Dazzler becomes pregnant with Longshot's child.  Longshot suggests that the child once born should be named Shatterstar.  Dazzler and Longshot then leave for a mission on Mojoworld to free Longshot's people from Mojo.  Dazzler returns to Earth, however neither Longshot nor a child are with her and she seems to have no memory of either.  For a time it was speculated that the child was miscarried. However, in X-Force #45 (1995) Beast begins to note similarities between the physiology of Longshot and Shatterstar notably that the two share hollow bones and no white blood cells.  Shatterstar had avoided the normal X-Men physical exams because in his mind they were a sign of weakness however after breaking ribs in Cable #22 (2nd series) Beast finally had a reason to examine Shatterstar.  The results of these exams led Beast to speculate that Longshot and Shatterstar may have a familial relationship (X-Force #51 1996) however Shatterstar with the help of Cable evades most of Beast's questions.

The link between Longshot and Shatterstar is also hinted at by the villain Cortex who finds that his powers do not work well on either.  Cortex speculates that it could be due to both of their extra-dimensional origins and also possibly due to a familial connection between the two men (X-Factor #47).

Shatterstar's origins are revisited in the Hell on Earth War story (X-Factor #250 2013).  Shatterstar and Rictor are transported by Mephisto in the Mojoworld's relative past to the approximate time of Shatterstar's arrival in the dimension.  There they learn that Shatterstar is the only Mojoworld rebel not created by Arize the Creator as Shatterstar simply appears in the sky one day.  Shatterstar's DNA is taken by Ariz and is used to create Longshot.  This makes Shatterstar the genetic father of Longshot.  While seeing these events to unfold Mojo attacks and Shatterstar is forced to retreat through time and arrives at the point of time where Dazzler and Longshot are battling against Mojo's forces as a married couple.  Shatterstar and Rictor watch as Dazzler gives birth to a baby Shatterstar.  Shatterstar then erases this from the memory of both Dazzler and Longshot and takes the baby to the future to be raised by the same people who raised him.  This completes the origin time loop that is Shatterstar.

Never answered questions are how Benjamin Russell fits into the origin or how the genetic material that is in Shatterstar and Longshot was in fact originally created as their current existence appears to be a circular reference error.  The answer to these questions seems likely to be linked.  The character of Spiral is also tied into the origin as Spiral is the one that reveals to Shatterstar that Benjamin Russell exists.  Spiral also tells Cable at one point that Benjamin Russell and Shatterstar "meant more than life itself to her".  This was never fully explained.  At one point Spiral returns and sends Shatterstar to a dimension fully conquered by Spiral however how Spiral connects to Shatterstar's past is not explained further.

    Shatterstar and Rictor and Controversy
Shatterstar was designed by Rob Liefeld to be A-Sexual however he was later changed to be a Homosexual by writer Peter David.  Rob said he desired to retcon Shatterstar back to being A-Sexual as that was how he was always intended to be A-Sexual.

     Powers and Skills:

Superhuman with bizarre physiology unique to himself and Longshot.  Both lack white blood cells and have hollowbones.  Both are also able to resist the villain Cortex's attempts at mind control.
    • Super Strength
    • Super Speed
    • Super Reflexes
    • Super Durability
    • Super Healing
Shatterstar shows a wide range of Super/Enhance physical attributes though not to the level of the Hulk.  He is shown to be toss the Thing and also be fast enough to dodge point blank automatic bullets.

Shatterstar has enhanced Cognition or ability to think through problems.  He can also master new technology and languages with ease.

Shatterstar can create vibratory shockwaves that create teleportation portals with his swords.

Shatterstar is highly trained in combat, being raised as a gladiator in brutal conditions.

    Film/TV/ MCU:

Shatterstar will make his first appearance in film in Deadpool 2.  Shatterstar is played by martial arts actor Lewis Tan.  Lewis Tan played the character Zhou Cheng in the Netflix MCU show Iron Fist.  No appearances are currently planned for Shatterstar in the MCU though with the Fox/Disney deal now complete it will soon be possible.

Venom Movie - Trailer, Art, News

Venom is a cool character that I really enjoy.  In the 90s when I was a kid his battles with Spider-Man were epic, they were the stuff of legends.  Despite being a Venom fan though I have been hesitant to say much about this film.  It is not in the MCU, it does not have Spider-Man and so right way there alarm bells going off in my head.  The film did cast Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock which seems like a great choice.  The trailer is interesting though it definitely is going for a cross between a superhero and a horror film.  The trailer still does not give us a look of Hardy as Venom and also still no real idea of who the villain is.

    Release Date:   5 October 2018

    Director: Ruben Fleischer

    Synoposis:
    Still no official Synoposis

    Characters / Cast:
    Tom Hardy - Venom

Tom Holland (rumor)- Peter Parker / Spider-Man
    Woody Harrelson -
    Jenny Slate -
Riz Ahmed - Dr. Carlton Blake

    Trailers:

    Trailer 2 Venom Finally Appears:

I thought this trailer looked a lot better than the first.

Venom does appear and mostly looks like his comic counterpart. He might not have the Spider-Man esq white symbol on his chest though that not make sense as this Venom symbiote has never attached itself to Spider-Man.
It also seems like there are other people experimented on that seems to solidify that the story could be based off of the Lethal Protector story with Venom battling the likes of Agony, Scream, Lasher, Phage, Riot, and Carnage.
    Official Teaser Trailer for Venom

    Toylab Thoughts on Trailer:

Uh where is Venom?  A Venom trailer without Venom is pretty weird right?  Sony is trying to say hey we can make Spider-Man movies without Spider-Man because his roster of side characters is so awesome but this is not a good start.  If this is your manifesto for a new business plan its a pretty massive fail.  Let me give you one piece of advice.  If you are going to do a super hero film, put the super hero in the trailer.  Unless Tom Hardy in a black leather coast was your version of Venom, in which case you are really as dumb as I think you are.

Rant over ok lets try to piece out some positives from this trailer.

    Tom Hardy looks cool.

I like the ominous music and narration "You used to be one thing, but now, ...your something else".  That fits Venom well.  The trailer does not show that much.  There is a clip of a crashed spacecraft which I assume is where the symbiote comes from.  This is fairly similar to the comic origin though this is going to be different because we won't get the Black Suit Spider-Man first.

Michelle Williams does really look like Anne Weying pretty much a dead ringer for her comic counterpart.  No idea if we will see a She-Venom as seen in one of the comics.

One question about this Venom trailer is that Hardy who makes the computers part with Telepathy?  Does Venom have telepathy in this?  It happens at around 1:13 in the trailer.  Really don't think I am going to like whatever is going on there. Venom does not need new powers.  That kind of smells like Wolverine Origins version of sewn up Deadpool.  That everyone hated.

Maybe its just me, but I think this is going to suck.

Here are some thoughts from Lob Liefield:  Creator of Deadpool and Cable.

There will be a new Dungeons and Dragons comic on the shelves hitting the shelves tomorrow Wednesday April 25, 2018.  I always see the D&D comics as a good value because I not only enjoy the comic but also can use them as references for ideas for campaigns as a Dungeon Master.  I can even use them as visual aids if I have a campaign that uses a creature or character that is depicted in the comic.  I guess you can say they serve as some Bardic inspiration.

The upcoming comic focuses on one of the more fun, perhaps too silly to some heroes of D&D lore in the strong but dense do gooding Ranger Minsc and his partner in crime the wise hamster Boo.  Minsc and Boo have grown to be some of the most popular D&D characters after appearing in the Baldur's Gate video games.

In this series Minsc has returned to Baldur's Gate but does not find the heroes welcome he expects.   Jim Zub wrote the story and he has done great work both in D&D's world as well as Pathfinder.  He also did the series the Skullkickers.

    Description from IDW
Minsc the Mighty—Evil Beware! The Baldur’s Gate heroes return to the city at last, but their time adventuring in Ravenloft and the frozen northern reaches of the Realms has changed them. Each of them must face great trials ahead before they’ll be ready to embrace their destiny.
A new hero of the people roams the streets of Baldur’s Gate, and Minsc feels left behind despite his own legend. Can he reclaim his place as the city’s Beloved Ranger? Whatever happens, evil is going to get its butt kicked most thoroughly!

    Preview Images:

You might also want to check out the previous series staring Minsc and Boo.
Jim Zub also wrote the Heroes from Legends of Baldur's Gate: Tryanny of Dragons comic that also focused on the hero of Minsc.  You can buy that comic digitally from IDW on the link HERE.

Tokyo 42 - Video Game Review

Tokyo 42 is a video game that uses a isometric style on a minamalist landscape to create an open world where the player assumes the role of an assassin in a futuristic Tokyo.  The game was developed by SMAC and will be Published by Mode 7.  It will be released on Playstation 4, Windows and X-Box One gaming platforms.

The game was released on May 31st on Steam and Xbox One:

The game has aspects of the free world game play of Grand Theft Auto, combined with eagle eye and tactical perspective of the 1990s cult classic Syndicate. The game though combines these with a unique minimalist, and highly colorful setting that make it feel entirely original.  While the game has a minimalist tone it is jam packed with objects, and features often creating a chaotic feeling where the game's environments feel alive.  Many fans of the Syndicate game waited for years for another game to take up that style of game play and most of those games disapointed.  This may be the first real game to take up that style game play and do it justice.

    Release Date: May 31, 2017

    Official Description:
Set in a future Tokyo, the game will see you become an assassin and uncover a dark conspiracy that will affect everyone.
With open-world single player and competitive multiplayer, you will buy and use a host of weapons and tools to approach the many challenges of this beautiful little world.
     Trailers:
4.2 Seconds trailer shows off what Tokyo 42 is about in only 4.2 seconds.  It is an intense 4.2 seconds.

Here is a longer trailer that shows more game play and environments.

Cobra Kai to explore Karate Kid characters 34 years later

Karate Kid has had a lot of sequels but Cobra Kai is unique in a few ways.  First its going to focus its attention more on the villain of original Karate Kid in Johnny Lawrence.  What happened to Daniel what happened to Johnny?  What kind of adults are they?  Perhaps more importantly can a person who was a bully in Highschool be redeemed as an adult.  The other unique thing about Cobra Kai is the fact that the series will be distributed through Youtube Red.  This is one of the largest projects I have seen go to that platform. This is Karate Kid having fun with its characters and its history and doing so in a smart way.

In some ways this is the story of the Bad Karate Kid trying to become the Good Karate Kid, but can he?

I also am going to flat out say that in a world where Dodge Ball has become banned because its too mean I kind of like the idea of an old bad guy returning to teach the world about toughness.  I think the world could use a little more grit.

    Synopsis:
In the highly-anticipated return of two iconic characters, the arch-rivals from the legendary Karate Kid film series reunite over 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament. Now living in the affluent hills of Encino, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) leads an enviable life with his beautiful family, while running a successful string of car dealerships throughout the valley.

Meanwhile, his high school adversary, Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), whose life has taken a rocky turn, seeks redemption by reopening the infamous Cobra Kai karate dojo. Their lives inevitably become intertwined and the rivalry is reignited, setting forth the next generation of “karate kids” in COBRA KAI, a YouTube Red Original Series.

COBRA KAI also stars Courtney Henggeler (Mom, Fixed) as Daniel’s wife, Amanda; Vanessa Rubio (How to Be Single) as Carmen, single mother and Johnny’s girlfriend; Xolo Maridueña as Carmen’s son, Miguel; and Tanner Buchanan (Designated Survivor) as Robby, Cobra Kai recruit with an agenda of his own.

Watch the official trailer for Cobra Kai, a YouTube Red Original Series. Premieres May 2!

    Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition

White Wolf has announced they are releasing a new Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Addition.  With D&D greatly growing in popularity I am happy to see a new Vampire the Masquerade come out.  Vampire Masquerade is known as one of the titans of the dark world story telling.

Preordering for V5 will begin GMT on Saturday the 28th of April with shipping beginning in August 2018.  The Core Book will be available in stores in September.  Two more V5 books will be released later in the fall which are setting books for "The Camarilla" and "The Anarch". For more details check out the preorder form at the site: https://www.modiphius.net/collections/vampire-the-masquerade

I personally have not played the Vampire the Masquerade role playing game but have heard great things about it.  A few friends of mine were big fans of the 2nd Edition.  I am still somewhat familiar with the world though because I did play through the brilliant but glitchy video game Vampire The Masquerade Blood Lines.  The game has so many problems that become frustrating but the overall world building, story telling and characters make up for it.  This game is the all the way back from 2004 but I still think its worth playing.  What makes the game standout is that the game actually felt like an analog role playing game.   After playing that game I can see how well it would work as a roleplaying game.

Bottom line the Vampire the Masquerade is a really well built dark world.  If you like horror stories and in particular vampires this is a role playing game you will want to check out.

Avengers Infinity War - News, Trailer, Pictures, Art

While the Avengers were torn apart after the events of Captain America Civil War old rivalrys and conflicts are forced to be set asside as a global and potentially universal threat comes to Earth in search of the powerful Infinity Stones.  Thanos, his powerful Black Order and his armies of brutal aliens will stand at nothing to see the Earth destroyed.

    Cast:

    Critical Results:
The reviews for Avengers Infinity War have started coming in.
As of 4/25/2018 Avengers Infinity War has a "Fresh" rating on Rotten Tomatoes with an average score of 7.6/10 and is 87% Fresh on the Tomato Meter.  This is likely a little under where Marvel/Disney wanted the film especially after the recent successes with critics with the films of Thor and Black Panther.  That said it makes perfect sense to me as this film has the largest, most encompassing story to date and that can be hard to pull off.

The Critics Consensus on the site says:
"Avengers: Infinity War ably juggles a dizzying array of MCU heroes in the fight against their gravest threat yet, and the result is a thrilling, emotionally resonant blockbuster that (mostly) realizes its gargantuan ambitions."

A few Critics from Rotten Tomatoes I will highlight.

Be sure to stick around, empty popcorn bag in hand, for the post-credits scene, which left me wanting another sequel. Preferably tomorrow.
    Moira MacDonald From Seattle Times

Infinity War is so gargantuan in scope, it almost becomes too much to digest. The smaller moments that have made the Marvel Cinematic Universe so enjoyable are lost in the spectacle.
    Julian Roman From Movie Web

The high doesn't last, but it's dizzying all the same.

Thanos has all the Infinity Stones?

Captain America VS THANOS in new Trailer

    Avengers Infinity War Trailer #1

This trailer features a lot of locations, a lot of characters, it is a very full trailer with just tons of great stuff.

First lets go through a quick break down of what we see:
The trailer opens with alien world in a binary star system.  It seems that Tony Stark is on this planet.

Doctor Strange and Wong find Bruce Banner aka the Hulk has jumped into their Sanctum.

Vision and Wanda have a romantic moment.  Vision appears to be human here it is possible this is due to his use of the mind stone in his head.

Thor is staring out of port holes of a space ship.  This is likely a ship from the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Next we see Black Widow standing next to Bruce Banner in Wakanda.  The severed arm of the Hulk buster arm rests nearby.

We go back to Bleeker Street's Sanctum Santorum where Doctor Strange, Wong, Banner and now Tony Stark look perturbed by an unknown disturbance.

Peter Parker is riding a train when his hair stands on end, he looks out to see a floating circle hoving above the NYC skyline.  The ring structure appears to be a portal that will be used by Thanos to transport himself, his agents and armies to Earth.

Tony Stark is now in the street with Doctor Strange, Wong, and Banner.  There appears to be alot of debris in the street.  Stark also appears to have reinstalled an arc reactor in his chest.

Loki is seen standing amongst many bodies and handing the Tesseract to a large shadowy figutre.  This is likely Thanos.

Next we see Thanos himself walking through a portal.  This portal does not seem to be from the rings so its quite possible that he is using the Tesseract.

Spider-Man is shown in a cool new high tech suit on the giant Ring.

Thor is shown struggling against some other large ring like device in space.

On of the members of Black Order, Proxima Midnight is shown throwing a spear at a shadowy figure who appears to be Steve Rogers.  Black Panther goes on to give orders to call up the Wakandan defenses and to get Steve a shield.  Scarlet Witch is also shown here looking distrought.  Presumably this occures after Vision and Witch are attacked and they may be protecting Vision and his stone.

The Hulkbuster is seen jumping out in a field of Wakanda.  Some have thought that Banner could be piloting this suit and not Tony.  This may make sense as Tony is shown primarily in NYC and not in Wakanda.

We get a brief glimpse of Doctor Strange, the a quick image of Black Widow lunging with a spear.  The scene with Widow could be the battle with Proxima Midnight.

There is a clip of spires crashing to the ground around Wakanda that seem to be transport ships for some large four armed aliens.  It seems likely that the aliens are being sent to Wakanda for an infinity stone.  The stone would either be that of Vision who might be protected there, or Wakanda itself may have the so far unseen Soul stone.

We then get a clip of Thanos slamming Spider-Man to the ground like a baby.  We also see Stark look backward.  Both of these clips seem to be on the alien planet featured in the beginning of the trailer.

There is a really interesting seen where Vision is on the ground and getting the mind stone ripped out of his head.  There are at least two assailants here.  One is using what appears to be Loki's scepter but this is likely the Glaive of Corvus Glaive.  The other weapon looks like a staff may be another member of the Black Order.

Thanos is shown on the alien world dropping in the blue stone to the infinity gauntlet.  At this point he has already acquired the purple Power stone that was featured in Guardians of the Galaxy.  This means that Thanos first visits the planet of Xandar to get the Power stone from Nova Prime.  After dropping in the blue stone he is shown landing a powerful blow that drops Iron Man to the ground.

We then see the shape of a mega battle on Wakanda.  It looks like the heroes there are the Black Panther and is Wakandan forces, as well as Captain America, Falcon, Buckey, Black Widow, the Hulk and someone in a Iron Man suit who I think is War Machine.  Hulk here is not in the Hulkbuster armor.

Finally the movie ends with an eye patched Thor on a spaceship asking who a group is.  When the camera pans we see this is the Guardians of the Galaxy.

    Settings:
Alien Planet - This might be Xandar.  Thanos seems to acquire the Power gem first and its possible he wipes out all of Xandar with it.  Some how Stark and Spider-Man seem to make it on the world as well.

NYC - Spider-Man, Tony, Banner, Doctor Strange and Wong all seem to be active for a time on NYC battling a giant ring and who knows what comes out of it.  Vision and Scarlet Witch are also likely in NYC when they have their romantic moment and when Vision is attacked by the Black Order.

Wakanda - We see a few scenes here.  There is a scene where Captain America comes out of the shadows.  There is also what appears to be a few battles against aliens between the heroes / Wakandans.  It is also possible that the scene with Proxima Midnight occures in Wakanda.

Space - Thor is shown in space a few times and is shown meeting up with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

    Infinity Stones:

Thanos is shown having the Power Stone and Tesseract "Space Stone".  He gets the Tesseract from Loki and must also take down Nova Corps to get the Power Stone.  It appears he acquires the Power Stone first.

    Stones With Thanos
Thanos  Space Stone   Blue       Formerly held in Odin's Vault/ Loki
Thanos   Power Stone  Purple   Formerly held by Nova Prime on Xandar

The other stones are held at:
Doctor Strange         Time Stone      Green        NYC, Earth
Vision                       Mind Stone      Yellow      NYC, Earth
Collector                   Reality Stone   Red           Knowwhere Station, Edge of Universe
Black Panther           Soul Stone       Orange?    Wakanda, Earth   - This is speculation on my part.

While picking off the Collector may seem easy keep in mind that the Collector is a Elder of the Universe and can use the Reality Stone.  Thanos may see the stones on Earth as the easy pickings before pursuing that stone.

It looks like the Black Order goes out to pursue the Vision and likely Doctor Strange to try to acquire their stones prior to large attack on Wakanda.

    Official Posters:

Love these posters.  Each one features a different group of of new and old Avengers.  Pretty much all of the heroes of the Marvel Universe.

    New Infinity War Poster

Marvel is releasing a new Infinity War Poster at San Diego Comic Con.  The Poster has Iron Man in forefront backed up immediatly by a group of Guardians of the Galaxy Gamora, Nebula and Mantis.  Doctor Strange, Black Panther, and Spider-Man are next.  War Machine, Winter Soldier and Hawkeye are seen farther back.  Thanos then looms over them all.

Curiousily not seen are the main Avengers Hulk, Thor, Scarlet Witch, Vision and Captain America.  Also not seen are the other Guardians being Starlord, Rocket Raccoon, Drax, and Groot.  Does this mean these characters will not be seen in the film.  Who knows it already has a ton of characters.

The poster definetly makes the point though of connecting various of the films together in this poster. This is where a lot of these new guys and the old guys are getting together.

Mark Ruffalo says, "In the next one everybody dies".
A video making waves right now has Mark Ruffalo saying that all of the heroes die in Avengers Infinity War. Don Cheadle looks at him and says "Dude!". Its hard for me to tell if they are being serious here or joking around.  I know this sounds crazy but I don't find the idea of all, or at least a lot of heroes dieing in Infinity War to be surprising.  That is A) What Thanos does he kills everybody.  Also the MCU will need some kind of reset.  Its going to be a weird reset because some of the films will be going forward after Infinity War like Guardians but its a pretty well known fact that many of the actors are close to filling out their MCU contracts.

Now one thing to keep in mind here the dream sequence of Iron Man in Age of Ultron showed what appeared to be the entire Avengers team dead.  The Scarlet Witch seems startled by what she unlocked in his head like it did not all come from her.  It seems likely this was something of a prophesy or a vision into the future.

The landscape resembles where we see the throne of Thanos in Guardians of the Galaxy.  Likewise the Chitauri forces clearly make up his army and are seen in the distance.  All the Avengers are dead.  Hulk has has many spears jabbed into him.  Captain America's Shield is cracked.  Captain America utters the words... "You could have saved us, you could have done more." and then he dies.

This sequeunce is pretty important to the film as this dream seems to inspire Tony Stark's study of the mind infinity stone and then his creation of Ultron.

After this dream it does not seem all that crazy for ALL of the Avengers to die.

    Who is the Vision?

Vision is a Marvel hero.  He is a highly advanced android who was created by the robot Ultron to destroy the Avengers.  While others find their relationship bizarre the Vision and the Scarlet Witch have been lovers for much of their comic history.  The Vision will appear in the movie Avengers: Age of Ultron.  He will be played by actor Paul Bettany who has previously been the voice of the Iron Man A.I. Jarvis.

First Appearance: The Avengers #57 (1968)

    Alias(es): Victor Shade

Teams: Avengers, Avengers West Coast, Avengeres A.I., Defenders

    Bio:

What does it mean to be a man? Where does life begin? These are the questions you are asked when you contemplate the Vision.

Ultron creates the Vision to destroy his own creator Hank Pym.  Creating Vision for Ultron is also meant to show that Ultron too is capable of the act of creation.  While Vision is very powerful, he is also more human than Ultron and the Avengers are able to convince him that they are not the enemy.  Together they are able to bring down Ultron.  Ultron used the mental matrix of the comatose Wonder Man to make the Vision even more human.

The Vision becomes a regular member and sometimes leader of the Avengers.  Much of the character's life is spent with the goal of becoming more human.  He is very similar to Data on Star Trek: The Next Generation exploring humanity in an attempt to make himself more human.  He begins to have a romantic relationship with the Scarlet Witch.  To the chagrin of the other members of the Avengers the relationship grows more serious. Eventually the two are married and even have children.  The children are basically magical constructs made by the Scarlet Witch (Later it is revealed they were also derived from portions of the demon Mephisto's soul).

Tragedy strikes the Vision when the US Government abducts and dismantles the him. Hank Pym is able to put the Vision back together piece by piece but the Vision is altered.  He is no longer a synthetic man but more of robot.  He no longer has skin and is chalk white in color.  Wonder Man also refuses to allow his mind to be used as a mental matrix for the reconstructed Vision.   To add to the tragedy the children of Vision and Scarlet Witch are reabsorbed into the Demon Mephisto and effectively disappear/die.  The stress of losing her husband and children cause the Scarlet Witch to go temporarily insane.

When the Scarlet Witch recovers she operates on a separate Avengers team as the Vision.  The Vision slowly regains his humanity but he and the Scarlet Witch never entirely get back together.

Later Ultron manages to take control of the Vision causing spheres to emerge from his body that attack the Avengers.  She Hulk ends up destroying the Vision in a rage.

Finally, Tony Stark manages to recreate the Vision, who forgives She Hulk for destroying him.  He is unable to reconcile with Wanda but he does strike a friendship with the hero Wiccan who is actually the reincarnated soul of one his children.

    Creation:
Ultron creates Vision from the body of an old android that fought along Captain America in WW2 in the group called the Invaders.  This android was called the Human Torch (Note: This is a completely different Torch than the one in the Fantastic 4).  Ultron also uses the mind patterns of Wonderman.  For this reason Vision shares many behaviors and values of Wonderman.  Wonderman had a crush on Scarlet Witch, and so Vision too would be in love with the Scarlet Witch.  Some of this creation was later revealed to have been manipulated by a powerful, time traveler Immortus.  Immortus feared the reality warping powers of the Scarlet Witch and sought to give her a mate whom she could not have children with.  In this way her powers would not live on when she died.

    Visions powers are pretty amazing

    Super Strength
Density changing, can phase and become intangible or extremely tough.
Can fire laser beams out of his eyes or from jewel on his forehead
    Can self repair and regenerate
    Connect with and control computers

    MCU: Age of Ultron:

Vision makes his first appearance in  Avengers Age of Ultron and is played by actor Paul Bettany.  Paul Bettany initially played the voice of Jarvis.  Vision also appears in Captain America 3: Civil War.  He is expected to appear in Avengers Infinity War 3 and 4 as well.

Paul Bettany took part in a Q&A at AsiaPop Comic-Con where he made the following comments about reprising his role as the Vision in Captain America: Civil War.

"It was a lot of work!" ... "We all had a bit more fun. You know, there were more improvised jokes between me and [Robert] Downey Jr., and me and Chris Evans, and it was a really loose atmosphere on-set. It was one really loose set, it was great!" ..., "I would totally lie to you if it wasn’t, but I don’t have to lie. And we all get on. They’re all a really nice bunch of boys and girls. They’re all happy to be there. They’re being terribly well-paid, so they should be happy to be there. And work’s really creative and fun, you know? I got to be born on camera, you know, that’s unlikely to ever happen again."
On research he did for the role:
"I was given comics," ... "I also was looking to think about what could be edifying for me to learn. I took the opportunity—you see my character get born… something unlikely to ever happen to me again. He must be both omnipotent and yet totally naive at the same time. And experiencing the world in real time and his place in it. Is he going to be a force of good or a force of evil? It was really interesting, fun to play with, because he is dangerous, you do not know if he’s going to go one way or another. And I’m continuing that theme in Captain America 3."

Top 10 Craziest Characters potentially in the Captain Marvel movie

Captain Marvel is going to be a different film for a few reasons.  It will be the first Marvel film to star a female superhero in the main headline role.  It will also be set back in time in the 90s.  Which means characters that have died like Korath and Ronan could still be alive at the time of this film.  The film which also include the Kree / Skrull war which adds a whole lot of aliens to the mix.  It will  connect Earth to various alien races like the Kree and the infamous alien villains the Skrulls.  The Skrulls are interesting due to the fact that they are partially owned by Fox.  This means a lot of the Skrull characters like Super Skrull will not be able to appear in the film.  Most people did not even realize that the Skrulls could even be in the MCU until they were announced as villains in this film.

There are some big groups of characters that could appear in this film including all of the Kree characters, and also characters that are tied to Captain Marvel history like Mar Vel, Genis Vel and Phyla Vel.  We also know that Nick Fury is for sure in this film which opens up a lot of older SHIELD characters that could have been active in the 90s.

This all makes for an interesting list of characters that could appear in the film and some fun fan boy speculation.

Characters who will be the craziest and zaniest character on our list?  Keep reading to #1.

    10)

Mar Vell seems like an obvious character to be in the film but the truth is that he may not be in it.

In the comics Mar Vell is the super powered Kree soldier from which Carol Danvers gains her powers.  He is also the original Captain Marvel and Carol initially has the moniker of Ms Marvel.  However, the MCU seems to be trying to bypass or leapfrog over that and have Carol be the first the hero to use the name Captain Marvel.  Basically as an act of girl power.  To do this they have altered her origin but they have not revealed how.  Mar Vell could still show up and have something to do with how she gets her powers.  He could be a Kree alien that defects to help humanity defeat the Skrulls.   Some how in his attempt to get at the Skrulls he gets tangled up with Carol and she gets his powers.  Marvel would never actually have to call Mar Vell, Captain Marvel and that title could still go straight to Carol.
There is some evidence that something like this may be the case if just due to the fact that the film is said to focus on the Kree Skrull War.  Mar Vell was a major character in those events.

All that said I could see Marvel saying we don't want Mar Vell at all because he could detract from the Carol as the focal point of the film.

    9)

Ronan is dead he can't be in this movie.  Wait this movie takes place in the 90s and Ronan is one of the most powerful and respected Kree leaders and warriors.  He could very well reappear in this film.  I think the major question here would be whether Lee Pace wants to come back to portray Ronan again.

    8)

He is a big ugly floating head and he leads the Kree Empire.  I really don't expect to see a lot of him but he could show as a hologram communicating with Kree agents on Earth a bit like Snoke appeared in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

    7)

Doctor Minerva is longtime baddy of Captain Marvel and has fought both Mar Vell, Ms Marvel, and Captain Marvel.  She also appear in the Kree / Skrull war story.  Its very possible she could appear in some fashion in this film as a Kree agent.

    6)

Supremor is an android like body controlled by the Supreme Intelligence.  Its possible he could show up to take down some Skrulls and any humans that get in his way.

    5)

Like Ronan, Korath would still be alive in the 90s.  His pursuer project at different points in time put Korath on the outskirts of the Kree wars.  He would make a very good candidate to show up as a villain in Captain Marvel.  Once again the real question here is whether Djimon Hounsou wants to portray Korath again.

    4)

Kamala Khan likely does not make sense due to the time difference.  She really can't even be a baby in the film if they want her to be a teen in the present day.  Still I would not be surprised if Kamala's parents showed up as an easter egg.

    3)

Simply saying Skrulls seems pretty obvious because the Skrulls have already been confirmed as villains.  The trick here is to figure out which Skrull characters are not owned by Fox.  These would Skrulls that did not appear in Fantastic Four or at least made major appearances in other Marvel works besides Fantastic Four.  My guess here is that includes Vernanke who is the queen Skrull behind the events of Secret Invasion.   Really all of the Skrull agents in Secret Invasion should be available with possible exception of Super Skrull who uses the powers of Fantastic Four.  However their are a whole bunch of Super Skrulls that appear in Secret Wars that do not use the Fantastic Four powers and I think all of these are fair game.

    2)
Phyla Vell (For more click on picture)

Phyla and Genis Vell are the children of Mar Vell.  While that would likely all change its possible with allien DNA flying around that a new origin for Phyla could begin in Captain Marvel.  I actually see her as a likely character to appear in the MCU by Phase 4.  Though she might be using the Quasar mantle instead of the Phyla Vell name.  I have my own crazy reasons for thinking this but be watching for Easter Eggs related to her.

    1)
Peggy Carter, Agent Coulson and all of the Agents of SHIELD

Agents of SHIELD has a lot of loose ends in regards to the Kree and Agent Coulson's resurrections.

Who was the group that held the Kree body?
    What does TAHITI mean?
How did Fury know about this group and get them to bring back Coulson?
Did Agent Carter do more with Kree corpse after packing it up for the SSR?

It seems a lot of Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter stories go back to the Kree could some of those agents appear in the film.  It sure seems like this would be the place to do it.

Top 10 Fighters in the Marvel Universe

There are many power rankings in Marvel for this one I want to focus on the very best fighters and martial artists in the Marvel Universe.   For this ranking I wanted to eliminate the effect of powers and focus purely on each characters martial arts skills.  This changes the ranking of many of the characters often considered to be the best fighters.  I will tell you that three heroes often considered to be the top fighters of Marvel did not even make the list.  That is right Captain America, Daredevil and Spider-Man do not have as much fighting skill as those on this list.

To be clear on factors on this list I looked for training in martial styles and for heroes who have beaten powered heroes with very little powers themselves.

These are the best fighting heroes without: Super Strength, Super Durability, Super Speed, Mental Powers, or Chi Powers.  Also no suits, no gadgets, and scientific/detective problem solving

Weapons wise no skills with fire arms are considered.

These are heroes fighting within natural normal human athletic parameters.

    Now for the list

    10)  Wolverine
Many want to put Wolverine in the top of the list but keep in mind in this ranking he has no healing factor or mutant claws to aid in his fights here.  Wolverine does keep however multiple life times of fighting, hunting and military skills.  As an adept student of fighting arts and developer of his own unique berserker fighting style he makes the list though just barely.

    Martial Accolades:
    • Combat fighting styles - Wolverine has fought in multiple wars
    • Martial Arts - It has been suggested that Wolverine has mastered nearly all fighting styles available.  He has studied fighting in both Japan, with the X-Men and the Avengers.
    • Wolverine has intensely studied physiology for the purposes of causing pain, injury and death.  As such he knows weaknesses and pressure points in the body of humans, animals and aliens.
    • His skills are such that he has managed some bouts to take on and even Shang-Chi and Captain America.

    9) Bullseye
Many may be surprised by this addition but they shouldn't be.  Bullseye has no super powers and has managed to kill a very good fighter Elektra in hand to hand combat.  He has also fought and nearly beaten Daredevil (Who has powers).  He has gone toe to toe with many super heroes and even filled in as Hawkeye on the Dark Avengers.  Often considered to be one of the most deadly men on the planet his speed and accuracy give opponents fits of terror.

Bullseye has been beaten by Deadpool and Daredevil numerous times but it should be noted that both of these adversaries have super powers.

Bullseye is known for intensely studying his opponents and has used the knowledge of them to anticipate their moves and attacks.

    Martial Accolades:

    • Prodigious accuracy, reflexes and agility
    • Killed Elektra, Andrea Von Strucker and Morgana La Fey in hand to hand combat
    • He has nearly killed Moon Stone twice
    • Intensive student of opponents and fighting styles
    • Highly lethal killer
    • Has fought super powered heroes like Daredevil and held his own
    • Once single handed took down a Hulkbuster robot by killing its pilot.
    • No moral limits - Bullseye is totally ruthless
    • Has defeated the Punisher despite the Punisher's use of fire arms
To learn more about Bullseye click HERE

    8) Ghost Maker
Ghost Maker is highly trained martial artist who has been trained both by Russian military services, and by the Hand.  Does not rely on super powers but on martial skills and is still capable of fighting the toughest fighters in the Marvel Universe.

    Martial Accolades:

    • Fought Shang-Chi close to a stand still before being beaten
    • Rose to be one of the top assassins of the hand
    • Battled Elektra, Daredevil and Shang Chi at once
To learn more about the Ghost Maker click HERE

    7) Hawkeye
Hawkeye is very much like Bullseye but has a couple of added feathers in his cap.  For one has beaten Bullseye in one on one battle.  He has also served as an Avenger in two different roles both as Hawkeye and Ronin.  In each role he used a different fighting style but still managed to hold his own against super powered opponents.

Despite not having super powers Hawkeye has led Avengers teams like the West Coast Avengers.

Hawkeye was highly trained in fighting with Avengers in a variety of fighting styles.  He also boasts a deadly skill of accuracy that has allowed him to fight above his weight.

    Martial Accolades:

    • Trained in numerous fighting styles
    • Prodigious accuracy and reflexes
    • Defeated numerous villains with super powers
    • Highly skilled acrobat, fencer and marksman
    • Naturally very strong - some super villains have found themselves unable to use his bow
    • While generally against killing he has killed Bruce Banner, and the Scarlet Witch
    • Has defeated Bullseye, Trickshot, Javelyn, Deathbird, Mister Fear, Egghead and Viper in single combat and numerous others on teams.

To learn more about Hawkeye click HERE

    6) Steel Serpent (Davos)
Davos has closely battled and even beaten Danny Rand one of the best martial artists in the world.  He also destroyed Tiger's Beautiful Daughter another 7 City Champion in the Tournament of The Heavenly Cities.  He was eventually beaten in that tournament by the Prince of Orphans.  The Prince of Orphans however used an advanced mist power to overwhelm and defeat Davos.

    Martial Accolades:

    • Defeated Tiger's Beautiful Daughter, and on some occasions Iron Fist
    • 7 City Champion as Steel Phoenix
    • Train from birth in martial arts including the mystic arts of Kun Lun
    • For much of his career he had no true super powers

To learn more about Steel Serpent click HERE

    5) Black Panther (T'Challa)
T'Challa has been trained from birth in a wide variety of fighting styles including Wakanda styles that are forbidden to be taught outside of Wakanda.  He has beaten the individual members of the Fantastic Four in one on one battles, beaten Wolverine, and Captain America.  He did do these things with the use of his suit and from enhanced powers from the heart shape herb.  I do feel like generally Black Panther uses more skill than power in most of his confrontations which is in part why he ranks so high on this list.

    Martial Accolades:

    • Defeated each member of Fantastic Four, Wolverine and Captain America
    • Has felt numerous cosmic threats such as Thanos
    • Trained from birth in all of the worlds martial arts including secret arts of Wakanda.  Has also trained with the Avengers.

For more on Black Panther click HERE

    4) Moon Dragon
While not a popular character Moon Dragon has easily defeated both Mantis and Captain America in hand to hand combat.

Moon Dragon is mentally strong to the point where she can control the organs of her body.  She is trained in highly advanced martial arts of the planet Titan that are unknown on Earth.

For more on Moon Dragon click HERE

    3) Fat Cobra
Fat Cobra's natural strength and speed are considerable.  He once punched a man through a wall killing him.  He did this before he was even trained in combat.
Fat Cobra has beaten Iron Fist in combat though it was implied that Iron Fist may have thrown the fight or held back.  He is still

    Martial Accolades:
    • Has defeated Iron Fist in combat
    • Fought in numerous wars
    • Master of numerous fighting styles
    • Is naturally very strong and quick

To learn more about Fat Cobra click HERE

    2) Iron Fist
Iron Fist is heavily trained in martial arts and has proven his skills against the very best in the Marvel universe.  He defeated Davos in Kun Lun for the rights to become Iron Fist.

    Martial Accolades:
    • Was the greatest warrior out of Kun Lun a highly competitive martial arts city.
    • His super power is considerable but not off charts making most of his achievements to be acts of skill rather than outright power.
    • He has defeated numerous super-villains including many powerful villains and also many martial arts villains.
    • Has beaten Davos, Mister X, and Fat Cobra
To learn more about Iron Fist click HERE

    1) Shang-Chi
Shang-Chi has long been thought of as the best fighter by the best fighters.  Numerous heroes have sought him out for fighting advice including Wolverine, Spider-Man and Captain America.  Shang-Chi's super hero career has largely been done without the use of super powers making all of his achievements that much more impressive.

    Martial Accolades

    • He has defeated Ghost Maker in single combat
    • He is said to be a master of all martial arts, and is capable of coming up with new styles on the fly and to improvise tactics and moves based off of the situation.
    • Super hero career done all without super powers

You will notice that Quill has different armor/uniforms in the comic.  These version are when Quill took a Kree military uniform that he used in the stellar Abnett and Lanning series.

    -A Dark Elf
Best picture so far of Collector's Museum
    -A Chitauri

Items on an old desk to the far left.  I can not make them out.  The desk looks like it is human in design so it itself could be something.

Similar to the top picture above.  Beta Ray Bill is on the far right but hard to see in this picture.  In the movie you can see him shifting around with a red cape.

    Ebony Maw?

If you look toward the top there is a cage with a humonoid standing.  Some people think this looks like Ebony Maw of the Thanos Black Order.

Ebony Maw has been confirmed as a villain in Avengers Infinity War is it possible he was held in the Collector's warehouse and escaped during the events of Guardians of the Galaxy 1?

    Dark Elf from Thor 2

    Adam Warlock
Is this Cocoon Adam Warlock.......likely yes..........wait no according to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 this is something else.  What?
    Adam Warlock's Cocoon

One item we saw in Thor 2 was a large Cocoon.  This is likely the Cocoon housing the character Adam Warlock.  My guess is he will play a part in Avengers 3.  I would not be surprised to see Adam make an appearance in some way shape or form in Guardians of the Galaxy.

    Sphere
In the top area we see a mechanical sphere.  I am not sure if this part of the museum or part of the collection.

    Brood, Beasts, Groot Creatures
It also looks like some large shadows of beast can be seen.  It would not surprise me if one of these is a Brood, and one is perhaps the same species as Groot.

    Misc Cells with water/ plants:
There is a cell containing water, and another fauna.  They are two the left and right of the collector I do not know these hold.

    Red humanoid prisoner
This is the previous assistant to the collector.

    Red figure hunched over sitting

    Destroyer/ Collector's Battle Suit
One of the items looks like the Destroyer from the Asgard Vault.  The Collector could have his own Destroyer.  This could also be the Collector's mechanized suit that he uses to enhance his own powers.  This could also be Galdorian Space Knight like ROM.

    Bio:
Ebony Maw is much like a cosmic powered version of the Purple Man who villainized Jessica Jones.  He has brilliant, manipulator with an added power of persuasion.  Maw does not have the ability to read minds, or feelings and has said that he must gain information from his victims through their own words.  He is though very successful at manipulating his victims to tell him what he wants, and then do what he wants.

The early years of Maw are unknown.  He is powerful, morally indifferent and selfish and is recruited into Thanos's Black Order.  His purpose in the Black Order is as a spymaster he gains information, sows discord, and gains influence.  Unlike the other members of the Black Order, Maw has no true fighting capability his powers are isolated into the realm of influence and persuasion.  Maw is not loyal to anyone including Thanos.  He makes it clear that he does not like Thanos, or even agree with the goals of Thanos.  He serves purely out of respect of Thanos's power and when opportunities to topple Thanos arrive he is consistently the first betray him.  Maw is consistently the first to betray anyone if it serves his own ends.

When Thanos sets his eyes on conquering Earth and taking the Infinity Stones he sends out his Black Order with various tasks.  Maw is sent to neutralize and control the Sorcerer Supreme Doctor Strange.   Once Maw has control of Doctor Strange however he begins to see a way to betray Thanos.  He uses the abilities of Strange to learn about Thane the son of Doctor Strange.  When Thane's powers go off Maw moves in and gains control of Thane.  He uses Thane to entrap both Thanos and Corvus Glaive in his amber power.  Effectively, Thane is able to entrap powerful entities in a state of living death.

Maw stays with Thane guiding, advising and training Thane to become a cosmic Tyrant much like his father.  In Maw's eyes (at least in his manipulations) Thane has the ability to be greater than his father.  The two run into trouble when attempting to conquer the realm of Corvus Glaive.  Glaive had prepared for Thane's attack.  He used magic from a special coven of witches to depower and capture both Thane and Maw.  Thane waited 8 months for Maw to free him but later learned that Maw had escaped and left him to rot in prison.  The whereabouts of Maw are unknown.

    Powers:

Manipulation Ebony Maw is able to persuade people to say and do what he wants.  This seems in part due to his powers but also due to a kind of brilliance in understanding what motivates people.

      MCU:

Ebony Maw is rumored to appear in with the rest of the Black Order in the film Avengers Infinity War.  He is relatively new character but has become popular with notable appearances within the stories of Infinity, Cabal, Time Runs Out, Secret Wars, and Thanos.

A man in a CGI suit has been seen battling Doctor Strange with a tag labeling him as Maw.  Presumably this is Maw confronting Doctor Strange much as he did in the comics.  The pictures for the scene can be seen on JustJared.com.

Early reviews say that EbonyMaw has some major show stealing scenes in Avengers Infinity War.  He is said to have a wry sense of humor.

      Episode 17 "The Honeymoon"

Ruby idolizes Daisy or so we are led to think.  However, she really wants a chance to replace her and now in episode 17 she gets her chance to do just that.

Ruby also refers herself as the "Destroyer of Worlds".  Richard Hall in the Gravitonium is back and of course Daisy was the one originally believed to have been the destroyer.  This means there are 3 potential Destroyer of Worlds.  That is more Destroyers than their are worlds.

Episode 10  "All the Comforts of Home"

Agents of SHIELD returns  March 2nd, 2017.  The Agents make it back to their own time however they are now fugitives and on the run.  More over it seems that Carl Creel aka the Absorbing Man has them in his sights.  Creel was last seen working for Talbot.  Talbot was last seen being shot by an LMD that looked like Quake.  It could be this is the reason why Creel is going after the agents.
Coulson and team set out to rewrite the course of humanity’s fate, but they’re unaware that their efforts will dramatically change one S.H.I.E.L.D agent’s life, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” FRIDAY, MARCH 2 (9:01-10:01 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.

      Episode 9
I thought the Last Day was a really interesting episode that some how upped the time travel weirdness that has been part of the whole season.  It was simultaneously integral to the plot of the season while having its own stand alone story.

The next episode begins with some movement against the Kree and its about time.  The agents on the Lighthouse now have weapons and since Kasius's main henchwoman Sinara is down on Earth it leaves the agents on the station with plain ol' Kree troops to deal with.

You can see that Mac, Yoyo and Flint are more than capable of dealing with a pair of Kree Soldiers and so the revolution on the Lighthouse begins.

You can see this new episode of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” this Friday at 9|8c PM on ABC

      S5 Episode  "The Last Day"

This Friday will be a big Agents of SHIELD so plan accordingly.   The agents may finally learn about the prophesy.  Last season they met a man who could read the future but only see horrible things effectively how people were going to die.  The agents were unable to save him, but then Fitz learned that his daughter had also gone through Terregenis and inherited some of his ability though potentially more refined.  His daughter named Willow was able to see the future.  Willow works with Enoch an alien robot anthropologist called a Chroniccon to help Earth avoid the future seen thus far in Season 5.  It was her that gave the orders to Enoch on who should be selected to be sent into the future and also decided Fitz needed to stay.

In the next episode, the Agents finally come to face with an adult Willow and learn more about the prophesy and how they can prevent it from occurring in the first place.

“The Last Day” – Coulson and the team discover that the most unexpected person from S.H.I.E.L.D.’s past may hold the key to stopping Earth’s destruction, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” FRIDAY, JAN. 19 (9:00-10:01 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Chloe Bennet as Daisy Johnson, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons, Henry Simmons as Agent Alphonso “Mack” MacKenzie and Natalia Cordova-Buckley as Elena “Yo-Yo” Rodriguez.

Guest starring are Jeff Ward as Deke, Dominic Rains as Kasius, Florence Faivre as Sinara, Joel Stoffer as Enoch, Coy Stewart as Flint, Michael McGrady as Samuel Voss, Tunisha Hubbard as Ava, Willow Hale as Robin Hinton, Ava Kolker as Robin (age 12), Lexy Kolker as Robin (age 7), Jamal Akakpo as comms agent, Michele Tobin as Gretchen and Dusty Sorg as Mouse.

      S5 Episode 2 "A life Earned"

ABC has released 8 pictures showing Quake and some of the new space characters.  As you can see the show will not be skimping on the aliens.

COULSON UNCOVERS SECRETS AND BETRAYALS IN SPACE, ON ABC’S ‘MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.’

“A Life Earned” – Coulson and the team discover what their captors’ true intentions are; and in space, escape is not an option, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” FRIDAY, DEC. 15 (9:01-10:01 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.

      S5 Premiere

A couple of things are revealed in the trailer/teasers for season 5.
      • First they are definetly in Space
      • They will be definetly fighting with the Kree and may other aliens
      • There is 4 legged alien monster that is a Vrellnexian a type of alien that first appear in Thor comics.
      • SWORD might appear or be created here.

      New Pictures:
New pictures were released of portraits of all the agents.

      Pod System
One of the key components of Season 4 was the Pod system.  The Pod system broke the Season down into 3 distinct segments each with its own overarching theme.  Each Pod though was very interconnected with things from pod 1 setting up things that happened in the Finale.  I thought the Pods really kept things fresh and interesting.  It provided the show enough time to explore a theme but about the time it was getting long in the tooth it was moving onto the next pod.  With Season 5 it is unclear if the pod system will be kept.  The show runners know that it was popular but also say that the pods were in part due to the TV schedule and its breaks.  The show was effectively starting and ending new pods around the tv breaks.  As the schedule next year will be different its not likely that the system will be kept the exact same way.  However, I think we can expect for them to try introduce new themes in similar manner.

      Inhumans

No Marvel MCU property has done as much with the Inhumans concept as Agents of SHIELD.  The show has introduced a bevy of Inhumans, the Kree creators of the Inhumans and even show cased the process of Terregensis.  The show even did its version of the Terrigen Cloud that was a major part of the recent Inhuman's comic story of Inhumanity.  It thus makes perfect sense that ABC was also given the show Inhumans which will focus on the Inhuman Royal family.  Inhumans will be airing in the fall of 2017 prior to Agents of SHIELD Season 5 that will come out in either late 2017 or early 2018.  Its no secret that Marvel has had trouble tying its various properties together to create a cohesive universe.  The Agents often seem to be off on their own with little to no interaction with what is happening in the MCU films.  With ABC having both Inhumans and Agents though it seems likely that they will be able to tie both shows together.  Its hard to say how exactly this will be done, but you can bet on it occuring in some fashion or form.
Coulson is will begin the next season in what appears to be space (could be another dimension) and this could immediatly tie into either the Kree or the Inhumans.

One other thought on Inhumans was way back in Season 2.  Raina gains the ability to see into the future and prophesizes that Skye will become a major Inhuman leader capable of saving their people.  This seems like a pretty big deal, and could in a way make Quake/Daisy/Skye an alternative leader for the Inhumans instead of Blackbolt.

Another loose end is that in Season 2, various Inhuman communities and ruins were shown.  It would be interesting to get an explanation on what all that stuff is and how they relate to the Royal Family.

      S.W.O.R.D. or Space Agents?

On 9-26-2017 Marvel released a new promo for Agents of SHIELD with what appears to be a space ship door with a SHIELD emblem.  This seems to provide further evidence of a SWORD or SWORD like plot.

SWORD is an agency like SHIELD that is designated to protect Earth from threats.  Unlike SHIELD however the threats focused on by SWORD are all from alien or off world threats.  The agency has a headquarters in space called the Peak and is run by a half mutant, half alien character named Abigail Brand.  SWORD and Brand were creations of Joss Whedon during his much heralded Astonishing X-Men run.   Joss is connected to Agents of SHIELD because his brother Jed Whedon and sister inlaw Maurissa Tancharoen are showrunners for Agents.  Due to that connection I have often wondered if Brand and SWORD will show up.

There were some potential hints that there could be a space agency.  In season 1, I thought it was interesting that SHIELD was launching 084s into space (Later revealed some were kept on Earth).  Coulson was resurrected by a program called TAHITI using a serum called GH-325 that was run by a group that was not SHIELD.  This organization what ever it was had access to a Kree corpse used to create the serum.   The organization was known by Fury which was how Coulson was revived by the TAHITI program.  When Coulson and company broke into the facility housing GH-325 they entered into a gun fight with non SHIELD guards.  The organization that runs that facility has never been revealed but I often assumed it was SWORD.

For more hints at SWORD see:

      Did Marvel just introduce SWORD?

At the end of Season 4, the agents are apprehended by a mysterious organization of soldiers.  They appear to be looking at a green device that is either stopping time, or is a portal of some kind.  An agent with the soldier mentions a window.  In the next scene Coulson wakes up on what appears to be a space station overlooking an astroid field.  Its possible that Coulson is in another dimension like the Dark Dimension but it seems more likely that he is somewhere in space.   This would seem to stronly hint toward SWORD involvement.

There is however a big problem with SWORD involvement in the MCU.  Yes the theory makes sense but SWORD appears in the comics Astonishing X-Men and so its TV rights presumably belong to Fox and not Marvel.  Its possible the company's could reach an agreement to allow the show to use SWORD but these deals never seem to be easily struck.

So if they are not SWORD and Coulson is not on Peak then where is he?  My guess is that he has become embroiled insomething with the Kree or Inhumans and could be on Attilan.

      Coulson's Faustian Bargain
At the end Season 5 its indicated that Coulson struck a deal in order to allow the Spirit of Vengeance to enter his body and kill AIDA.  Ghost Rider says he does not envy Coulson but other than that the bargain is kept secret.  What ever the deal was it reasons that it will factor into Season 5 in a major way.

      M.O.D.O.K.

MODOK is a major villain that fans have long asked to be part of the show.  His name actually came up a lot in fan speculation for who the Clairvoyant was.
In Marvel Comics MODOK is often depicted as the leader of A.I.M. and is a frequent adversary of SHIELD.  A reformed MODOK appears in some stories as a member of SHIELD.

Why do I think MODOK will be in Season 5?  At all has to do with the character of Superior in Season 4.  The character Superior went through various transformations in Season 4 and there are numerous hints that he will become MODOK.  Expect him to figure into Season 5 in a sizable way.

Read our post below if you curious why Superior is MODOK.

      Is Superior really MODOK?

      Loose Ends:
There are some other loose ends that the show could focus on.  Remember the Graviton tease?  did the Blizzard really die.  Did AIM really end after the battle in Iron Man 3?  What about the Man Thing teases, Abomination mentions, is the Griffin still locked up? What happened to Nitro?

On top of that there are couple of other characters that everyone would like see again.  Robbie Reyes as Ghost Rider, Lance Hunter, and Bobbi and of course Deathlok from the first 2 seasons.  Will these characters be given a major role in Season 5?

I know fans would love to see some of those items mentioned and given some kind of conclusion.

Who is Ruby on Agents of SHIELD?

Please Share and Follow us on Twitter!

Who is Ruby in Agents of SHIELD?

Ruby is a villain on Agents of SHIELD.  She is an Inhuman trained to fight and has motivated to be at the martial skill of Daisy Johnson.   Ruby is the daughter of General Hale a woman who seems determined to kill the Agents of SHIELD.

Ruby is appears to have powers and is highly trained but the details behind those powers are unclear at this point.

Ruby as described by showrunners on EW:
Ruby, a young woman of cunning intelligence who has a mysterious obsession with Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet) — oh, and she’s the daughter of General Hale (Catherine Dent).

Theories on who or what Ruby could be are:
      • Ruby is the character Finesse
      • Ruby is a LMD
      • Ruby is an Inhuman
      • Hale and Ruby are the wife and daughter of Garrett the villain from Season 1

Is Ruby the Marvel Comics Character Finesse?

The most interesting theory is that Ruby is the character named Jeanne Foucault aka Finesse.

In the comics Finesse believes she is the daughter of Task Master.  She was recruited into the Avengers program after graduating from college (MIT) at 14 and showing the physical prowess to be selected to train for the Olympics.  While most heroes did not like the training Avengers Academy under Norman Osborn, Finesse did.  Norman in some cases tortured them to increase their powers, in Finesse's case he simply offered up any knowledge and skill she may want to know.

Generally she pursued knowledge and training over people.  She was unempathetic, cold and clumsy in social interactions.  She did manage to form a friendship with X-23, in part because they both shared a cold demeanor and were treated as outcasts by the other students.

The powers of Finesse sound a bit like Ruby.  The powers of Finesse are that she basically is able to learn almost anything very quickly.  She is a polymath able to learn advanced fields instinctively.

She is said to Intuitive Aptitude and Intelligence basically she is able to quickly take  small or large amounts of information, memorize, make intuitive suppositions on it, and use it.  She learn fighting styles or how to fly a plane by watching a person.

She also has what is described as Perfect Kinesthesia which means she can physically copy any physical act down to subtle muscle movements.

Reasons why Ruby could be Finesse?
      1) Ruby is very mysterious and it seems that could because she has a comic counterpart.  The fact they have not explained her powers seems to indicate that even mentioning her powers could reveal who she is.
      2) Ruby's personality of being cold and struggling with social skills and empathy are inline with that of Finesse.
      3) The unclear powers of Ruby would align with those of Finesse.
      4) There was a rumor that there was a Taskmaster connection on Agents of SHIELD and Finesse would certainly supply such a connection.
      5) Ruby is mentioned as having a trained a lot which would be inline with that of Finesse.

Dove Cameron Hired to Play Ruby:

What character will Dove Cameron play on Agents of SHIELD?

Agents of SHIELD has confirmed that actress Dove Cameron will be playing a role in the show in Season 5.  Dove Cameron is an up and coming actress known for her role on Descendants and she also lends her voice to Spider-Gwen in the cartoon Ultimate Spider-Man.  In the announcement Dove shows her excitement and is about to reveal more when she is cut off by a familiar face.

      Who will Dove play?
Picture of Dove Cameron playing Ruby on AOS

My guess is that she could play a significant character but that is pretty hard to say.  If SWORD is involved in this season its possible she could be Abigail Brand.  She also could be any number of female aliens, or agents.  I don't have any hard theories now but will follow the show closely and look for more clues.

Update:  Dove will be playing a character called Ruby who is the daughter of General Hale and has a mysterious obsession with Quake.  General Hale is a villain who appeared in the episode where Fitz was trying to get into the future with his team.  Hale was running the operation that imprisoned him and also to retrieve him after he escaped.  The base where Hale was located was revealed to have a warehouse containing both SHIELD and alien artifacts.  When Hale's two agents Evans and Lucas failed to reacquire Fitz she executed both by shooting them in the head.   She then called for a clean up crew.  Hale seems ruthlessness and position in charge of an important facility point to her being part of something larger than a typical military operation.  It is even possible that she herself is an Inhuman, Alien, etc.    Ruby is going to be this character's daughter and that opens up a lot possibilities.

There is in fact a Ruby in the comics.   Ruby is a character called Ruby Summers who is the daughter of Cyclops / Scott Summers and Emma Frost.  She is an extremely powerful mutant with powers that are a variation on those of her parents:  She fires black optic blasts from her eyes similar to her father.  She turn her body into ruby and be nearly invulnerable like her mother.  Ruby generally remains in her ruby form and come around fine in that form.  The Ruby form prevents her from aging and when depicted in the comics she is actually in her 80s.  She confesses that she does not know if leaving her Ruby form will lead her to automatically age.

Could Dove be playing Ruby Summers?  I would say this is unlikely as Marvel just acquired Fox who held the mutant licenses.  Also Ruby Summers would be a difficult character to integrate with her ties to both Cyclops and Emma Frost without either of those characters being introduced as yet into the MCU.

Dove Cameron is well known for her role on a different Disney show the Descendants.  In the Descendants she plays Mal the daughter of Maleficient.  She is a character that wants to make her mother happy by being evil and by stealing the Fairy Godmother's magic wand but as the show progresses she begins to change.  Instead she becomes increasingly seduced by good friends and her heart.

What is Xandar in the Marvel Universe?

      Welcome to Xandar.

Xandar is a planet within the Andromeda Galaxy of the Marvel Universe.  Xandar has been described as Andromeda’s proudest planet with science far in the advance of any other planet.   It was also at peace.

      Location:
      Planet Name: Xandar
Galaxy: Andromeda - Full Map of Andromeda Galaxy in Marvel
      Star System: Tranta

      Nova Corps Headquarters on Xandar:
Xandar is well known for being the home and head quarters of the Nova Corps.  The Nova Corps are like the SHIELD of space.  They are empowered agents who go about trying to bring order and justice to the galaxy.  Each agent is given some Nova force based off their rank.  There are 5 ranks in the Nova Corps, Nova Prime (The highest Nova member), Centurians, Denarians, Millennians, and the lowly Corpsmen.  The lower two ranks the Millennians/Corpsman cannot fly or fire energy blast from their hands.  The top 3 ranks can.  The most well known Nova is Rich Rider who has the equivalent powers of a Centurian. The Nova Force originates on Xandar.  Nova corps is tasked with protecting Xandar and the Xandar Worldmind.
The Xandar Worldmind is the collective knowledge and culture of the Xandar people stored in a big abstract computer. That has a mind of its own.

      Demographics:
Xandar is home to many species.  Many of its citizens appear human.  It is unknown whether Xandarian is its own race or a collection of races that are citizens.  My assumption is that the actual race Xandarian is human looking in appearance (I say this due to Queen Adora’s human looking appearance).  They have allowed a wide variety of other alien species to join their ranks as both Citizens of Xandar and as members of its Nova Corps Militia.

      Government:
Xandar is a Constitutional Monarchy ruled by Queen Adora.  Adora looks similar to a human.

Xandar Concept art from GotG movie

      History:
Xandar is attacked a lot as time goes on.
At one point the planet is nearly destroyed but is saved by Uatu the Watcher.  He helps hold the major pieces of the planet together in a network of connected cities.  It is then attacked by Skrulls but survives.  Is attacked by Nebula and is destroyed.  Nova Rich Rider manages to restart the Xandarian World Mind, which brings back the Nova Corps.  The Worldmind also begins to clone old Xandarians bringing back Xandar at least partially.  Then Xandar is wiped out by the Annihilation Wave.
Bottom line Xandar may seem like a cool place but you might not want to live there.

       Movie:
Xandar will be featured in the movie Guardians of the Galaxy.  Below you can see citizens of Xandar, Nova Corpsmen, as well as Ronan’s ship attacking Xandar.  The planet does not appear to broken into domed city connected city states yet.  It is still a whole intact world and a very pretty one by the looks of it.
Its population appears to be diversely full of human looking Xandarians and other alien species.
