Update on Lucifer 11/18/2016

Time to catch up with our favorite Devilish Devil. A lot of crazyness has happened since we last covered the show.

Seeing the good doctor (Dr. Linda Martin/Rachel Harris) get back to what she she knows and loves was good. Not, of course, without a LOT of help from good ol’ Maze. The most impressive thing was Maze did it by simply being Maze. Let me explain, in arguably the most selfish act of selfishness and stupidity, a few episodes ago, Lucifer revealed himself to the good doctor. Who, as one might expect, handled it VERY poorly.

I mean seriously, what did he expect? He HIMSELF had worked long and hard on keeping the actual truth from humans. Yet, in his OWN desperate need for answers, he did it anyway. And by proxy, blew Maze’s cover as well! Of course, Maze had no idea of what had transpired when she went to the doctor to seek guidance.

Finding out left both of them hurt and feeling VERY lost. Maze more so than Lucifer who was busy dealing with the actions of his mother and oh yeah THE MURDER OF AN ANGEL!!! Lost there, are you? Well, I didn't post when it went down so, let me give you the 411 so you can be all caught up, eh? Urial (Michael Imperiloi) was sent by God (PLEASE be Morgan Freeman!) to help move along the progress of getting his wife back to Hell.

He had grown impatient with both Lucifer and Amendial’s ability to put her back in Hell ESPECIALLY now that they both knew who and where she was. Only Urial had other plans for the mother of all creation. He has stolen a dagger from the Angel of Death. A dagger that has the ability to kill Gods. Not just return their souls to Heaven or Hell but to completely erase them...like DEAD DEAD!

Of course, he went about it all wrong when he threatened the life of Det. Decker AND beat down Amendial who has lost his grace due to him shagging Maze, indulging, enjoying his time on Earth. In other words, letting Lucifer rub off on him. So, after an epic showdown between Lucifer, Maze and Urial, Lucifer managed to get the dagger away from Urial and in order to save the life of Maze, ran Urial through with it! This is all in a desperate attempt at NOT returning their mother to Hell, where father wants her. This week, that f'BEEPin’ plot thickened.

The dagger was dug up and it’s power corrupted several humans into killing for its desire. That’s what this dagger does. An angel could handle the power of it but a mere human, hears it calling to it. It takes the smallest slight that human may feel and multiples it 1000 times. Its DRIVES people to slay each other.

At the end of this week's episode, after Lucifer was able to retrieve the dagger, we saw he and his mother get into a heated argument while he had the dagger in hand. The dagger reacted to his anger and glowed and began to flame slightly. His mother smiled, apologized, grabbed Amendial and got the fuck out of dodge! I think her plan to get back at her husband and back into Heaven, just got a boost. While smiling she referred to Lucifer as The Sultan.

Is this an angel that, much like the Angel of Death, has the ability to kill God? If so, is her end game now to use Lucifer as a tool to do just that? OH! Before I forget. I was SO RIGHT about why Amendial was losing his powers!

I wanted to circle back to the good doctor and how people affect us in ways we don't realize. The good doctor was just another human, as far as Maze and Lucifer were concerned. One to be used, and ignored on a whim. And yet, somehow, by simply BEING HUMAN, she became a major part of their lives. She became not only a guide along the path to humanity but, a friend, a confidant and someone who showed the HOW to care.

I think that's an important thing to mention for a lot of people who said that her role was unimportant in the scheme of things on this how. Probably the same people who thought Baron Zemo wasn't important in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR.

October Lucifer Review:

What did I tell y'all? What the F'BEEP did I tell y'all? Did I not say that Maze and Amenadiel were going to shag? That was not the only dynamic that had a light shined on it during this episode. Now that Lucifer knows that Detective Decker is the root of his mortality, what is he going to do with that knowledge?

SURELY the Devil will decide to save his own ass and find a way to either steer clear of her or possibly even just kill her? Or, has he been exposed to her for so long now that, he may decide to continue on his present course? Simply enjoying his adventures among humans too much to care about his own demise. The bigger question here is what happens when Maze and Amenadiel find out? You just KNOW they both will. Will Maze, armed with this knowledge, consider her a threat to be eliminated?

She has already been known to stalk the detective. Or will Amenadiel himself try to kill her just to force Lucifer’s hand towards a war that he secretly wants? I think after this week's episode, I will be ready to make my predictions for the season finale.

Marvel Becoming

Marvel has created a new video series called Marvel Becoming. Each video focuses on a cosplayer and shows them putting on and setting up their cosplay. The series focuses on some of the more epic cosplays of Marvel characters.

Cosplay is increasingly growing in a massive cultural phenomena with huge amounts of participants and fans. There are now shows based on cosplay, clubs based on cosplay and massive throngs of people at every convention. Marvel has done comic cover variants featuring cosplayer but this series takes it to a new level.

The quick vidoes are interesting as they show the transformation from the person to the super hero right before ideas. The videos also highlight fun facts about the costume.

One thing I would like see is a brief interview section with the cosplayer describing the costume, why they chose the character, how they act in costume, and of course how they went about constructing it. I think show a bit more about the construction of each cosplay would be really interesting.

The Oregon Trail Card Game is a new card game that is currently sold through Target. The game is designed to be a card version of the popular 80s computer game the Oregon Trail. The Oregon Trail video game was known for being very difficult to beat but still being extremely popular. I will say that I am one of those kids who DID BEAT the game. So no it was not impossible it just did not happen very often.

I will say that I played the game many times to just go hunting which I think was very common among kids. Enough about the video game though lets look at the card game.

Is the game simple and easy to learn?
Yes, very simple.

Would the game be fun without ever having played the video game?
No, without the nostalgia factor the theme of the game would be pretty meaningless.

Is this card game good?
I would say yes and no. It does capture a lot of the feeling of the Oregon Trail game and that can be fun. However, it is also pretty brutal. You draw calamity cards and some of the cards just flat out kill you, without any recourse.

"You have died of dysentery" Yes, you can still randomly die from dysentery in the card game just like you randomly died in the video game as well.

Some people will find this random form of instant death to be dreadful however, I found it absolutely hilarious....Uh that likely says something bad about me doesn't it.......drat!

At any fate I think so long as you expect the game to be pretty random and sometimes brutal you will likely have some fun playing it.

In the end, this is not a game that is going to set the game world on fire but is a descent beer and pretzel game that you can have fun playing while reminiscing on the old video game. I think it would be really great for class reunions and things like that where nostalgia is already a major factor.

Beta Ray Bill is a monstrous looking cosmic hero who is very popular with comic fans..

Bio:

The Korbinites were attacked by the evil Asgardian Demon Surtur (Also a Thor villain) and their planet was destroyed. The Korbinites travel in a fleet of vessels with the primary vessel called the Skuttlebut.

Beta Ray Bill is initially mistaken for Thor because his outfit is so similar. It turns out that Beta Ray Bill is capable of picking up Thor's hammer. Which due the hammer's bizarre power of only allowing the worthy to pick it up is very unique. Intrigued Odin has the two heroes battle in a duel on a fiery world. The battle for who is most worthy is an epic hand to hand battle and eventually they knock each other out. Due to his resistance to heat Bill wakes up first but instead of killing Thor he saves him. He found Thor to be too worthy of an opponent to let him die.
Eventually, Bill is given his own hammer the Storm Breaker by Odin and he and Thor go on to battle Surtur together.

Beta Ray Bill appears from time in both the Thor comics and occasionally his own series.

In this mini series Galactus has killed off all of the remaining Korbinites and Beta Ray Bill sets off to kill the world eater. He nearly succeeds in this by destroying Galactus's targeted worlds before he can feed. This effectively starves and weakness Galactus. However, Bill relents when he learns that Galactus has important part to play in the cosmic ecosystem.

Galactus as payment for letting him live creates one other Korbinite the female Ti Asha Ra with whom Bill can repopulate his race.

Bill's mind was transferred into a super powerful body that had great powers including:

In addition to these powers Bill is a great hand to hand fighter. He has fought Thor to a standstill. He also has his own enchanted hammer called Storm Breaker which is very similar to Thor's Mjolnir. Bill also has access to advanced alien technology that includes a space ship called Skuttlebutt. Storm Breaker gives Bill the ability to manipulate electricity, the weather and the ability to fly.

Who is Iron Fist?

Iron Fist is a hero in the Marvel universe known for practicing Kung Fu. Iron Fist is a mantle that has been worn by many men over the ages the modern day hero is Danny Rand. Iron Fist will appear in a Marvel Netflix series.

Casting: Danny Rand is listed as being played by Game of Thrones actor Finn Jones. Finn is most known for playing Lords Tyrrell in Game of Thrones.

The Iron Fist is the selected champion of the mystical city of Kun Lun. The modern version of the character is named Danny Rand.

Danny Rand is born in NYC. At the age of 9 he accompanies his father Wendell, mother Heather, and his father's business partner Harold Meachum on an expedition to the hidden city of Kun Lun. Wendell had found the city years earlier. There he had earned great respect by saving the city's leader, Lord Yuan. Lord Yuan adopted and raised Wendell in the ways of Kun Lun. Eventually, Wendell left the city, became a successful entrepreneur and married Heather.

During the dangerous trip, Daniel trips causing his family to be pulled off a ledge. Harold is envious of Wendell's business and wife. He forces Wendell to fall off the cliff to his death. He asks Heather to come to him for help but she refuses. Instead, Danny and his mother head off on their own toward Kun Lun. As they approach the city the pair are attacked by wolves. Heather sacrifices herself for her son and holds them off while he flees. Eventually, archers from Kun Lun come and force the wolves back but not before young Danny's mother is torn to ribbons.

Danny is brought in Kun Lun where he expresses his wish to gain vengeance on Harold Meachum for the death of his parents. He is then assigned to the Kung Fu instructor Lei Kung the Thunderer. There he undergoes extensive martial arts training including the toughening of his fists by banging them on sand, gravel and rock. He proves to be the best of Lei Kung's students. At the age of 19 Danny has proven himself a great warrior and is the given the test of the Iron Fist. In this test he fights a dragon named Shou-Lao. He presses his chest against the dragon which burns a dragon tattoo onto his chest. He then kills Shou-Lao. After his victory he enters a temple that stores the dragons molten heart. He plunges his fist into the heart and gain the powers of the Iron Fist.

Danny then leaves Kun Lun and tracks down Harold Meachum. Meachum is a pathetic looking man after loosing his legs from frost bite. Danny in the end takes pity on Meachum. Meachum is shortly after killed anyways though by Master Khan one of his former henchmen.

As Iron Fist he battles Sabretooth, and also begins a long lasting duel with Lei Kung's ostracized son, Davos known as the Steel Serpent. Davos believes that the Iron Fist mantle is rightfully his and becomes Iron Fist's most recurring nemesis.

Danny joins up with Colleen Wing and Misty Knight. He and Misty Knight begin an off and on again affair that carries on through the comics. He also begins Hero for Hire operation with Luke Cage. Danny and Cage becomes long time friends and business partners.

Who is Steel Serpent?

Steel Serpent is the arch-nemesis of the hero Iron Fist. Like Iron Fist, the Steel Serpent is trained in the mystical inter dimensional city K'un-L'un. He gains a counter power to Iron Fist. Steel Serpent's tattoo of serpent can drain the dragon power from Iron Fist. By using the serpent tattoo he can absorb the full Iron Fist powers into himself.

He is set to appear in the the Netflix series Iron Fist. The Steel Serpent symbol already appear on drugs being shipped in NYC in Daredevil season 1.

First Appearance: Deadly Hands of Kung Fu #10

Bio:
Davos AKA Steel Serpent is a native of K'un-L'un and the son of K'un-L'un trainer and champion the Thunderer. Davos feels that it is his destiny to become a dragon lord of K'un-L'un and gain the power of the Iron Fist. However, he is thwarted by the adopted son of the ruler of K'un-L'un Wendel Rand. Wendel manages to beat Davos and become the number one heir to be ruler. Davos accuses the ruler Wi-Ti of favoritism.
The heir to the Dragon Lord is allowed to battle the dragon Shau-Lao and gain the power of the Iron Fist. Davos decides to battle the dragon even though he lost the right to do so. He is defeated by the Dragon but still alive. The monks banish him from K'un-L'un.

Wendel Rand does not battle the dragon instead he leaves to go to Earth. Wendel's son Danny however goes to K'un-L'un and does battle Shau-Lao and gains the power of the Iron Fist. When Danny Rand (Iron Fist) comes to Earth he is hunted by Steel Serpent who wants to steal his power and gain the Iron Fist power that he feels is rightly his.

In one story the Steel Serpent works for a leader of the heavenly city of Kun-Zi, known as Mother Crane. Mother Crane provides him with women martial artists called the Daughter Cranes. The Daughter Cranes sacrificed their lives to give him extra powers. Davos was nearly able to kill the Iron Fist Danny Rand and the previous Iron Fist Orson Randall but Randall sacrificed himself to give Danny the powers to defeat Davos.

Powers and Skills:

Steel Serpent is a very strong martial artist and is an equal to Iron Fist. He is able to defeat Iron Fist a few times after long brutal battles.

He also has the power to absorb Iron Fist's powers through a Serpent tattoo on his chest.

The mystic leader Mother Crane also gives Davos the Daughter Cranes who provide him with Chi by sacrficing their lives.

Pokemon Go Thanksgiving Event is beginning November 23, 2016

The Thanksgiving event will feature double XP and double Stardust recieved when completing ingame actions. There may also be changes to what Pokemon spawn but I have not been able to confirm this as of yet.

The Appearance of Bird and Slowbro Pokemon!

Similar to the Halloween event that had marked increases in certain spooky Pokemon it is expected that Thanksgiving will feature some increases in Thanksgiving themed Pokemon. So far the expectation is for the Thanksgiving Pokemon Go event to increase bird Pokemon and Slowbro. This is not confirmed at this point and is only a rumor.

TOYLAB TIP: Use this event with a Lucky Egg to get 4x XP!

A Lucky Egg doubles XP and this event double XP so the effect of using a Lucky Egg during this event is 4 times the amount of XP you would normally receive. This is a great time to do some evolutions and go pidgey grinding.

Who is Fat Cobra?

Fat Cobra is one of the greatest Kung Fu masters in the world called Immortal Weapons. The Immortal Weapons meet and battle each other in tournament with each being a champion of one of the 7 Cities of Heaven. He does not age due to use of Chi manipulation and has many adventures over the years both as a hero and sometimes enemy. The character is generally associated with the hero Iron Fist but has also appeared alongside Wolverine. Fat Cobra is a relatively new character being introduced in the Immortal Iron Fist series in 2007 but has quickly become a fan favorite.

Fun Fact: Fat Cobra is very old with great longevity due to his Chi manipulation. He has done many famous things throughout history including teaching Elvis Kung Fu and battling Ninja Nazis in WWII.

Bio:

Fat Cobra is a heavy set martial artist who is around 110 years old. Due to being one of the Immortal Weapons the group champions who each represent one of the 7 cities of heaven he does not age. This keeps Fat Cobra in his prime. Despite being heavy set he is very quick and powerful. He uses the contrast of opponents expectations to quickly take them out with fast and brutal strikes.

Fat Cobra was born to a poor family on Peng Lai Island. Peng Lai is one of the 7 Capital Cities of Heaven that is tied heavily into the Kung Fu Tournament of the Immortal Weapons. Fat Cobra's mother died giving birth to him, his father a poor pig farmer was unable to afford to feed and so left him at an orphanage. The young orphan was said to have such a prodigious appetite that he was too much of a burden to the orphanage. At the young age of 2 he was exiled from Peng Lai.

He was found and raised in the Peking Opera school that trained him in music, acrobatics and martial arts. He developed a reputation as being one of the best opera singers in China and toured the country with the Peking Opera. While a gifted singer he would soon learn that he had more talent in the area of fighting. He ended a drunken brawl in a coffee house in Cairo by punching a man through a wall, killing him. Now branded a murderer he fled back to China to avoid justice from the Cairo authorities.

In China he found his homeland in the midst of a civil war. He fought on both sides and was a highly sought after fighting talent. Taking money earned during the war he bought his way back into Peng Lai. In Peng Lai he began training in Kung Fu beneath the infamous master Iron Crutch Khan. Iron Crutch Khan gives his new pupil the moniker of Fat Cobra and the name stuck. Fat Cobra's natural fighting ability are beyond that of anyone Iron Crutch Khan has seen. He gives Fat Cobra the goal of defeating the serpent Xiang Yao and becoming an Immortal Weapon.

Fat Cobra challenges Xiang Yao but is soundly and brutally beaten. He washes up on shore barely alive, beaten up, and partially eaten. An old woman find him, nurses him back to health but also takes sexual advantage of him during periods of where he is comatose. After making a full recovery he learns he was exiled again from Peng Lai.

He joins forces with the adventurer Ulyesses Bloodstone and goes to the Savage Land, Monster Island and battles the dragon Fing Fang Foom. He is sent in WWII by the hero Union Jack to take down a group of Ninja Nazis led by Herr Samurai. The entire Kung Fu team he is with is killed off except for him. He if offered a spot on a fighting squad with Toro and Bucky but turns down the offer having grown tired of war. He takes up a cush fighting trainer spot at an all girls school in Switzerland instead where he rides out the war.

Fat Cobra's colorful life continues landing in a variety of interesting places over the years.
He later went to Hollywood and landed some roles including Ma and Pa Skillet dig to Chinee Town and Driskel and Chowder meet the Evil Dr Celestial. He played for NYC Giants NFL team before being kicked out for baddly wounding KKK protesters. Fat Cobra is brought to Olympus for an eating contest along with Hercules and the Asgardian Volstagg. He is also the martial artist who trained Elvis in the ways of Kung Fu.

Eventaully, SHIELD brings in Fat Cobra as an asset used against the Russians in the Cold War. Here he served with Nick Fury and battled Russian Were Wolves on the Moon. Fat Cobra once again tries to battle Xiang Yao but this time is even more severely beaten. He is found legless and paralyzed but is nursed back to health in a SHIELD medical facility.

Around this time Fat Cobra's children whom he apparently has had hundreds of begin to hunt him down and attempt to kill him for being a dead beat dad. His children are each gifted in martial arts like himself and he kills them off in hand to hand combat one at a time. This gives him the necessary experience to battle the Xiang Yao who he battles and defeats on his third attempt finally making him into an Immortal Weapon and the champion of Peng Lai.

Immortal Weapons Saga
The tournament of the seven cities begins with Fat Cobra defeating 100 Shaolin Terror Priests by himself. This earns him the right to select his opponent. He selects Iron Fist which surprises everyone because Iron Fist is considered one of the top contenders for the overall tournament. Fat Cobra wants to establish a precedent with himself as the top fighter by going right after the best.
The Tournament is interrupted by Hydra who attacks the seven cities. The Seven Immortal weapons easily fight off the attack.

He helps Iron Fist in his battles again Chi'n Lin and Ching Ming in the Eighth Heavenly City. The champions are all captured and are forced to take part in gladiatorial battles in the Eighth City. Eventually, the champions are freed by Qaun Yaozu the Tiger's Beautiful Daughter. The Champion fight their way out of the Eighth City.

Wolverine:
Fat Cobra aids Gorilla man and Wolverine escape and defeat the Jade Claw. In the end of the series he goes into San Franscio and takes the underworld title of Black Dragon.

Powers and Skills:

As one of the Immortal Weapons Fat Cobra is considered to be one of the top martial artists who have ever lived. He has master numerous styles and has altered many of them into his own style that uses his unique body type to his advantage. Even without Chi powers Fat Cobra was strong enough to kill men with single blows. His natural athletic speed is also very high he is to be able to move at 35 miles per hour without the use of Chi.

Chi Powers-
Through the use of Chi powers Fat Cobra can generate internal energy called Chi for various effects.

Enhanced Speed / Strength - Fast enough to catch a bullet
Enhanced Healing
Immortality / Slowed Aging
Mystical Insight and Foresight
Can use Chi to greatly enhance the power of a strike to deliver a super human blow
Energy Blasts - Takes the form of lighting and can be used with a strike or separately
Durability - Can create a Chi Shield or Aura that protects his body from harm
Energy Tracking - Can sense energy sources and track them.

Weaknesses:
Fat Cobra has the least patience and most gluttonous attitude of all the Immortal Weapons. He is the least able to wait and often partakes too much in food, drink and women. His ability to turn down food, drink and women is almost non existent. Due to treating his body and mind badly over his life he has developed a poor memory and often does not remember major details of his life.

MCU:

There is no sign yet of Fat Cobra in the MCU. It is possible he could appear or be mentioned in the upcoming Netflix series Iron Fist.

The character Madame Gao in Daredevil Seasons I and II seems likely to be the MCU's version of Crane Mother a Seven Cities villain. This has led some to believe that a tournament of the Seven Cities could be featured at a later date that would introduce the seven Immortal Weapons.

Why Iron Fist should be white

Background:
There has been a movement to push for an Asian actor to play the Marvel character Iron Fist. Even though the character has always been Caucasian in the comics it seemed like a reasonable place for Marvel to add diversity into the MCU. In particular there have not been many Asian characters in the MCU. However, changing a character race can cause issues. At Toylab we have bloggers who argue both sides of the controversial issue.

About two years ago I wrote an article on why Iron Fist should be an Asian American. My feeling then was that there was a lack of Asian heroes and making Iron Fist Asian would be a great chance to change that.

Since then though I have reread almost all of the original Iron Fist and Heroes for Hire. In doing so I came to the conclusion of all white male heroes, Iron Fist is the most important to keep white. Am I off my rocker?

I better start explaining before bricks and chairs start flying at me.

Iron Fist had a short lived initial series. He had a very short solo series and very few others over the years. The only major one was Immortal Iron Fist in the 2000s that focused on primarily on older Asian Iron Fist's (great series). He spent the bulk of his years in team books and even disappeared for 6 years completely.

Most Iron Fist comics are not Iron Fist comics. If the character had relied on those as his vehicle to the masses he would have been brushed away into the dust bins of history in the late 70s and forgotten.

But that didn't happen instead he has appeared many times and has been highly relevent. Why? Because Iron Fist joined forces with an African American hero named Luke Cage. Boom this is where the uniqueness, power and relevance of Iron Fist begins. This is the reason why we are talking about Iron Fist 30+ years after his solo series died.

We live in a country where there are movements like Black Lives Matter, we live in a world of divided politics, divided media. We live in a world where different races have enslaved others. We live in a world where there is racial conflict but...very little dialogue. Most of the time people just ignore these conflicts. Most media does. People live in little echo chambers of their own beliefs and rarely dare to leave them.

Due to his cultural outsider status Iron Fist plays off well against Luke Cage. In doing so they represent different opinions of all the white and black dudes coming together, talking, working together for a better future. Danny is not a guilt ridden push of over, but he is an ever thoughtful person. In so doing he becomes a great role model for all people in listening and empathizing with others. That my friends is both powerful, rare and very much needed. Unfortunately, this interplay would not work with an Asian Iron Fist. Iron Fist's true super power is honest self reflection and empathy in a world that shows very little of either.

The unfortunate thing is I do not see another white character filling this role.

So to close there still needs to be more Asian heroes, but the white Danny Rand has important shoes to fill.

Does this solve the problem of low representation of Asians in comics? No, but altering Danny's race would alter the most important social friendship in comicdom. I believe this is not a zero sum game and there are a multitude of ways for Marvel to add some awesome Asian characters to the MCU and I hope they do so just not here.

Who is the Bride of Nine Spiders?

The Bride of Nine Spiders is the most terrifying and coldest member of the Immortal Weapons. As an Immortal Weapon she is on of the greatest martial artists in the world with added on power. She has been both an ally and an enemy of Iron Fist.

Name: Unknown - There have been multiple women carrying the mantle and powers of the Bride of Nine Spiders none of their names have been revealed.

First Appearance: Immortal Iron Fist #8 (2007) - Current Bride of Nine Spiders, Immortal Iron Fist Annual #1 (2007) - Former Bride of Nine Spiders.

Fun Fact:

The Bride of Nine Spiders is one of the most mysterious Immortal Weapons. One legend concerning her is that a great martial artist named Murderous Lion held a tournament in her honor. Murderous Lion's intention was for the winner of the tournament to earn the right to marry the beautiful Bride of Nine Spiders. However, the Bride saw the tournament as an affront to her immortality and found the idea of marrying any mortal beneath her. Rather than accept the winner of the tournament as a husband she challenged him to a match. The winner turned out to be Murderous Lion himself and he ended up in a death match with his would be wife. The two gravely injured each other and many suspect both died. The Singing Spider was an immortal spider that was supposedly found at the site of the battle was used as evidence that the legend was real.
The Bride of Nine Spiders that was encountered by Danny Rand was a different woman than the woman encountered Orson Randall many years earlier. It is possible that the earlier Bride of Nine Spider died in the manner of the legend.

The Bride of Nine Spiders is a mantle worn by one of the Immortal Weapons of the Seven Mystical Cities of Heaven. It is passed on to a champion of one of the Seven Cities in a similar way as that of the Iron First.

There are two Bride of Spiders women who have been featured in the comics. Niether woman has had an origin told or been given a name outside of Bride of Nine Spiders. One is featured as part of the old Iron Fist Orson Randall. Orson is captured captured by the Lady of Nine Spiders after he refuses to fight in the tournament of the Seven Cities. He escapes her clutches. This Bride does not appear again however there is a legend concerning her dying at the hands of a would be lover named Murderous Lion. It is said from this battle an immortal spider is left called the Singing Spider. This Spider is bought by antiquity dealer who uses it to attract and ensnare the current Bride of Nine Spiders.

The next Bride of Nine Spiders also called the current Bride is first seen in the battle of the Seven Cities by Danny Rand. The Bride fights in the 2nd round against Dog Brother #I. She defeats Dog Brother #1 after releasing an army of spiders out of her body that attack and overwhelm Dog Brother.

The Bride of Nine Spiders is initially reluctant to help the other champions fight off an attack from Hydra. She joins when she decides that the attack could imperil her own city. She joins in the attack on the newly found 8th City of Demons. She is captured and tortured there. Once she freed she vengefully kills all who get in her way.

A collector finds the Singing Spider of her predecessor and uses it to draw her to him and capture her. She is eventually freed when thieves descend upon the collectors home looking for the singing Spider. She kills the collector, and lets the thieves go with the warning that she is only shows forgivness once. She takes the Singing Spider in her possession and leaves.

Powers and Skills:

The other Immortal Weapons have powers that are heavily rooted in Mysticism and Chi after they defeat a Guardian of that force. The Bride's powers do not follow along the Chi path. She is an advanced martial artists but her powers all seem to be rooted in creating terror.

Spiders- The Bride of Nine Spiders can release a torential wave of small spiders that come out of her body and attack opponents. She can release them in a massive wave or fling clusters of them along with strikes or blocks.

Spiked Necklace - The Bride has a spiked collar / necklace that can shoot out like a spear.

Singing Spider- Is an item that can cause hallucinations on others. It has great influence over her and is one of her weaknesses if it falls into her enemies hands.

Weaknesses:
Singing Spider- Is thought to be a spider from the previous Bride of Nine Spiders this spider has a variety of mystical effects. It can attract the current Bride of Nine Spiders to a given location and can also cause her to suffer debilitating hallucinations.

MCU:

There is a woman shown in the Iron Fist trailer in a black outfit and has a spiked collar. Fan believe she is Colleen Wing but it is possible she is really the Bride of Nine Spider.

Donnie Yen (born 27 July 1963), also known as Yen Ji-dan (甄子丹), is a Hong Kong actor, Chinese martial artist, film director and producer, action choreographer, and multiple-time world wushu tournament champion.[1][2]

Yen is credited by many[3][4][5] for contributing to the popularization of the traditional martial arts style known as Wing Chun. He played Wing Chun grandmaster Yip Man in the 2008 film Ip Man, which was a box office success. This has led to an increase in the number of people taking up Wing Chun, leading to hundreds of new Wing Chun schools being opened up in mainland China and other parts of Asia.[6] Ip Chun, the eldest son of Ip Man, even mentioned that he is grateful to Yen for making his family art popular and allowing his father's legacy to be remembered.[7]

Yen is considered to be one of Hong Kong's top action stars; director Peter Chan mentioned that he "is the 'it' action person right now" and "has built himself into a bona fide leading man, who happens to be an action star."[8] Yen is widely credited for bringing mixed martial arts (MMA) into the mainstream of Chinese culture, by choreographing MMA in many of his recent films. Yen has displayed notable skills in a wide variety of martial arts, being well-versed in Tai chi chuan, boxing, kickboxing, Jeet Kune Do, Hapkido, Taekwondo, karate, Muay Thai, wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Wing Chun, and Wushu. LEGEND OF THE FIST: RETURN OF CHEN ZHEN

The film is set in post WWI China around 1941. It revolves around the horrible living conditions of Chinese citizens. Some of whom returned home after helping the French during the war. Most volunteered with little or no training to do manual labor. They were not told in advance that said labor would be performed while under fire.

Did I also mention, they were not given anything? After all that, they were ignored by the French after the war. Those who survived returned to a China that was not the place they used to call home. The Japanese who had long wanted to plunder China and used the war as a way in. Plus, the British had designs on China's for trade purposes.

Basically, if you were Chinese then, you and your country were getting squeezed like a f'BEEP'n pimple on a high school kids forehead! The people needed a symbol to rally behind. A person to restore their believe. Enter Chen Zhen. A widely recognized hero from the war, by his own people.

He kept the spirits of the Chinese workers high even during their most darkest hours. He even led a charge during a battle against the Germans that was unheard of until then. He returned to China under an assumed identity, to rid the city of crime, corruption and the Japanese. The love care and respect for a period peace is all there when Donnie Yen is involved. He not only starred in this movie but was involved in some of the writing, production and of course, the fight choreography.

Even though the movie was set after WWI, Yen wanted to show respect to the great Bruce Lee's role as Kato on the Green Hornet series. In China, Bruce Lee was so popular that everybody referred to it as “The Bruce Lee Show”. Thus, Chen Zhen dawned a latex version of the suit that Lee famously wore in the series. Plus a hat and mask as well. The Fist would serve as a rallying point for people.

I wanted to write a review on an older Donnie Yen movie because of his upcoming appearance in

STAR WARS: ROUGE ONE. He hasn't been exposed to mainstream American moviegoers much. With the exception of his woefully underused role in BLADE 2: BLOOD HUNT. You would do good to check out some of his earlier stuff and notice the difference in what he is capable of and what we may have in Star Wars. Notice how with all the accomplishments he has had, he is truly dedicated to keeping the old style martial arts action movie alive.

The last episode of Agents of SHIELD featured some awesome scenes including a slugfest between the super strong Inhuman Director or SHIELD and even a mysterious appearance of another new Ghost Rider. Here is what Sir Kent our guest blogging film critic thought of the firey episode.

Preview of Next Episode - Who is the new Mystery Inhuman?

So the big question who is this new Inhuman in the cocoon?

One Inhuman frequently mentioned is Grid. Supposedly people have seen the name in casting sheets for the season so there is some meat to these rumors. My only issue with this theory is that this Inhuman feel foreboding and Grid is not a foreboding character.

Grid is a new Inhuman also known as NuMan.

Grid - Dinesh Deol, a young engineering student living in Mumbai when the Terrigen Cloud passed over India. A NuHuman, Dinesh’s latent Inhuman DNA was activated by the cloud and he was transformed. Terrigenesis caused Dinesh’s hands to disappear, replaced by a glowing light that could emit radiating pulses of energy rings. These rings have the ability to catch and repeal objects with a significant degree of strength. Dinesh’s vision was additionally altered by the transformation, enabling him to see matter gridded out on an electromagnetic spectrum. The full extent and functionality of these powers has yet to be explored.

I don't really know one way or the other.

Review of Agents of SHIELD Season 4 Episode 6:

Before I get into this week's KICK-ASS episode of A.O.S. I thought I would nit-pick a little. You know how much I love to do that. The brief and expected face off between Director Mace (Jason O’Mara) showed a few things to us. The budget for the T.V. version of this Ghost Rider severely limits his ass-kickery. And it also showed the strength level of the director's INHUMAN super strength ability.

I kinda guessed that his strength level was nowhere near that of any of Inhuman The Royal Family and probably closer to Jessica Jones. Able to lift somewhere around 5-10 tons. He was also limited by his unwillingness to believe that Robbie's power's were of a supernatural basis and not Inhuman. Since all Ghost Riders have the same abilities, Robbie can life 20-25 tons. He can instantly heal from any wound and can even regenerate his skull if it is ever smashed.

As in how The Hulk did it when they fought. Also, if you should be…”Lucky” enough to defeat a Ghost Rider, the actual demon, Zarathos, who is the demonic living embodiment of vengeance where
The Ghost Rider's power comes from, immediately takes over the body...AT HIS FULL STRENGTH! So now you're talking about 40-50 tons and size manipulation to boot! So...did you win? Or did you actually REALLY F'BEEP UP?

Having said all that, the fight played out about as well as it could have on the small screen. I STILL wait to see Robbie use his chains more and I want to see the ‘69 Charger become more of a player. This week's episode left some fairly big questions. Like, when Eli Marrow (Jose Zuniga) set off the device, did he absorb everyone in the area? More importantly, did he absorb Robbie as well? COULD he absorb a Ghost Rider in such a manner? More importantly, if he has, who the f'BEEP is going to stop him?

Sir Kent Review of the previous episode The Ghost

As you can tell by the gif, this week's episode of AOS made me drink. Sometimes good, sometimes bad.

Now, like I do with most of my reviews, let's dig into what I DID NOT LIKE. This new Director thing bugs me. Where did this guy come from and how the f'BEEP could they ever pass over Agent Maria Hill as the new director?!?! I SAY THEE NAY! (Like how I worked in some Asgardian?) I mean other than Hawkeye and The Black Widow, she has been by director Fury's side from the start! Nobody can replicate that kind of experience.

SERIOUSLY? Did Nick Fury have no say in who filled the void??? And so now Coulson is just a VERY senior field agent? Not even the right hand of this new, pretty-boy director? If Hill comes back as a f'BEEPin’ villian because of this, they f'BEEPin’ deserve it!

In all of this, the one person I TRULY DO NOT envy is Jemma. Her heart was in the right place grabbing at a position that would allow her some sway over this new version of SHIELD. However I kinda think she got it because this new director doesn't see her as a threat. Plus, how f'BEEPin’ long do you think May is going to continue to take orders from her before she reminds her who the Hell she's talking to? Okay, I think I'm done with dislikes.

What I did like about last night's episode? Let's take it from the top. Best line

Coulson - Look forward to seeing May

Mack - I think you look more forward to it more than I do

On Yo-Yo. I did not know if this character would be brought back or not.
Seeing Yo-Yo again was nice. Seeing how hot she is for Mack was VERY nice! I do love an aggressive woman and she is going to shag the living shit out of Mack! She adds some personal relationships with Mack and is also in a interesting position as a go between with Quake/Daisy and the rest of her former team.

Secrets and Rules to Keep Secrets
To Hell with the rules! It's unfortunate that the agency tends to force you to keep secrets from loved ones. Poor Fitz having to keep the secret of this new AIDA cyborg from Simmons is killing him. He just needs more time to see it finished and maybe field tested. I must go in record now and say, Am I the ONLY person who See's “Ultron: Attack of the sexy cyborgs” happening here? Do the math.

She was created by Radcliffe as a means to save lives by “Mimicking” humans in order to protect them. That as sounds great. Probably will go great the first few times. But what's to keep her from one day “Mimicking” a human's desire to survive? Then in the heat of battle being all like “F'BEEP YO’ COUCH, EDDIE MURPHY!

I ain't goin’ out like that!”? Ultron, all over again, only sexy. I sayeth woe be that day indeed. (More Asgardian for you I am really getting ready Thor Ragnarok).

FINALLY,......give me a drum roll................

The Ghost Rider entrance.......went off like BOOM!!!!!

I have to say, much like a lot of you, I had a serious concern about how on a T.V. budget, they would make Ghost Rider look convincing. This new version of The Rider with the car instead if the motorcycle just seems to fit. His transformation into The Rider was done very well. The only thing that was missing was his chain. I am curious to see what it is in this box he is hunting. The gun running repu...I meant white supremacist are a happy by-product of what The Rider is truly after. Whatever was let out of that box is of a supernatural basis and he knows he has to kill it. Unfortunately for everyone at SHIELD base, it seems to have gotten a hold of May. And THAT could only mean they are in for a very bad day! If she turns on the SHIELD crew due to this ghost box then all hell is going to break loose!

All in all, I look forward to meeting this new director. Hopefully having him killed off (By a possessed May) and finding out exactly what this evil spirit is.

Plus WHERE THE HELL IS DEATHLOK??? Ghost Rider vs Deathlok would be something I would love to see.

Question who is the fusia girl in the newly released Guardians of the Galaxy Picture? The girl is not treated particularly well by Peter Quill. A victim of his "Pelvic Sorcery". She appears in his ship the Milano as he flees with the Power Infinity Stone from the planet Morag. He apparently forgot she was on board at all. Geez Peter. Many people found her to be intriguing and wondered if she was a character from the comics and....

My research into who she was began before the movie even came out.
My first guess is that Fusia girl is the character Carina played by Ophelia Lovebond but that does not look like Ophelia Lovebond. Carina is the daughter of the Collector in the comics and his assistant in the film. This is obviously not Carina.

Who is Carina the Fusia Girl?
I think they are clearly different actresses but this brings up the question.
Who is she?

There is also another red girl shown in a cell in the collector's museum. This girl appears to be a former assistant of the Collector who has fallen out of favor. Apparently he is not a very nice boss.

The mystery fusia girl is the comic character Bereet. Bereet is an obscure character from the Incredible Hulk stories. She comes from a Humanoid-Avian like race (Not the Shi'ar) called the Krylorians. She is a techno artist which is a person that builds life like movies that entertain her people. A techno artist would be like combining a rockstar and a movie director. Her people are very advanced but are addicted to escapist techno art. Using her advanced technology she can manipulate perceptions of people around her.

Both Bereet and Carina appear to be Krylorians.
Who are Krylorians?

Melia Kreiling
Bereet is played by actress Melia Kreiling whom I had not heard of before the movie. She is certainly becoming a popular name right now. Even though it was a small part, many left the theater wondering who she was.
If you want to see more of Melia Kreiling she is a cast member in the Showtime show the Borgias. Melia has joined the cast of the show Tyrant and plays Daliyah.

I believe this her again.

Bio:

Karnak is a member of the Inhuman Royal Family. He is King Blackbolt's cousin and serves as the chief strategist, planner and philosopher. Karnak is uniquely qualified to be a strategist as he has the special power to find the weak point in any person, plan or object. His power makes him a very deadly martial artist.

Karnak is unique amongst the Inhuman Royal Family in that he did not undergo terrigenesis to receive his powers like the other Inhumans. When Karnak's older brother Triton was exposed to terrigenesis he became monstrous in appearance. His parents feared that Karnak too would become monstrous when exposed. Instead, they sent him to a monastery to study the ways of the mind. It is through his intense training and meditation that Karnak has gained his martial arts skills as well as his weakness finding power.

Karnak's power has allowed Blackbolt to gain strategic advantages and win in battles against super powerful foes like the Hulk and Vulcan.

Bizarrely Karnak recently committed suicide in the Inhumanity storyline by throwing himself out of a window. This occurred after Attilan crashed into Earth and was destroyed. Before he left he told Medusa now leader of the Inhumans that she must forget what she knows to prepare for the coming cataclysm.

Reborn:
Karnak finds himself with other old Inhumans in the mind of NuMan Lineage. Lineage is connected to all of his Inhuman ancestors of which Karnak is one. Karnak sees that Lineage plans to betray Queen Medusa and decides to fight his way out. He ends up battling his way through Lineage only to come exploding out of his chest. This action seemingly kills Lineage. He apologizes to Queen Medusa for leaving her at a critical time.

Power:
Karnak can find the weakness of any person, object, or plan. He is also a master martial artist.

X Men ResurreXion Marvel Relaunch1 Marvel Reboots the X Men in Blue and Gold Next Year

X-Men Blue and Gold are coming back!

As far as huge top comic sales of all time few comics (none) have sold more than the early 90s X-Men run. This series was one of the most popular comic series of ALL TIME. The X-Men have had some ups and lows over the years but very little compares to the iconic Blue and Gold series. The new series will be done in a similar format as the classic versions but with new rosters.

Marvel has now announced who the rosters for each team will be. Classic Wolverine will not appear in either series but Wolverine will still be there in a different form. BEHOLD!

X-Men:Gold
This series will be written by Marc Guggenheim and have artwork by Ardian Syaf.

Leader of the team will be Kitty Pryde and the team will include Storm, Colossus, Night Crawler, Old Man Logan, and Rachel Grey.

X-Men: Blue
This series will be written by Cullen Bunn with artwork done by Jorge Molina. This team will be made up of the time displaced classic X-Men. The team will be led by Jean Grey and have the old Magneto filling in for Charles Xavier as the team's mentor. The team features the classic team of Cyclops, Beast, Angel, and Iceman.

Blue and Gold Teams!

The original Blue and Gold Teams were X-Men series that featured a creative rockstars that are still widely associated with the X-Men. Names like Jim Lee and Chris Claremont instantly come to mind. This generation of X-Men was also known in part because these rosters of X-Men were heavily used in the popular X-Men the Animated Series that also ran during the 90s. One of the features of the comics of that period is that X-Men were broken into two color themed teams, X-Men Blue and X-Men Gold. Each team featured its own roster and its own stories.

Comic wise however the X-Men and Mutants in general have felt pushed to the side in favor of Inhumans. We have discussed the reasons for this at length in other articles but generally all of our bloggers have felt that it was a flawed strategy. The general thinking is that Marvel has become more of a film based company and because they lack the film rights to X-Men they instead began pushing Inhumans as proxy to tell similar types of stories. The problem with that is that Inhumans were just a little too different, they are too alien based to be used exactly as mutants were. After a few messy stories, and then the Death of Wolverine story that killed the most popular X-Man it felt that Marvel had nearly pushed the X print universe into the grave. This was solidified with the story of Inhumans vs X-Men where many believed that mutants would be wiped out of the Marvel universe completely.

But then Marvel ran into a different storm in the summer of 2016. For the first time in MANY years Marvel began to be beaten soundly by DC on comic racks across America. DC had relaunched its universe beneath the title of Rebirth that was pulling in both old fans and new fans. Marvel's Civil War II event over 2016 largely undersold and did little to boost sales and almost nothing to compete with DC Rebirth's compelling story lines.

The lack of sales seems to have caused the company to do a hard about face when it comes to the X-Men. Now the company is delving back to the golden years of the early 90s and relaunching the iconic X-Men titles X-Men: Gold and X-Men: Blue in 2017.

What does the return of these iconic titles mean?

Are X-Men back for good? Will Marvel begin focusing more on Mutants and less on Inhumans?

X-Men Editor Mark Paniccia discussed the new books with Newsarama saying the throw back names were:

“These are the return to the quintessential X-Men team books. Rosters you’re going to love. The kinds of stories we all grew up on. You’re going to dig them and maybe even feel a little competition between the books, trying to outdo each other. If I do my job right, there will be readers who are Team Blue or Team Gold. Don’t get me wrong. You’ll enjoy both but you will have a home team.”

Things certainly sound positive for the first time in a long time. For me at least the strategy is working because I am excited to read an X-Men book again.

The Coding Osmo game is one of our favorite coding games for kids between the ages of 5-10. This is one of many games and toys that is coming out to help teach children the skill of sequencing so they can master the act of programming later on.

Osmo is a gaming system that utilizes a reflector panel that attaches to an Ipad to create games that use the real world to effect what is going on in the game. The Osmo system now has around 5 games that are all educational and teach various skills and concepts. This review is meant to cover only the Coding game but there are other very cool games on the Osmo System.

The Coding game is one of the newest games on the Osmo system. The Coding game has a character named Awbie who children need to direct through his world by sequencing his moves using physical panels that link together. Awbie is told how to move, jump and touch items in his world by the panels that are linked together by child. There is a lot of sequencing problem solving here as the child must see where they want Awbie to go and do and then set the sequence correctly in advance to make it happen.

We really like the Code-A-Pillar toy from Fisher Price you can see our review of that product HERE. However, if your child is too old for that toy but still too young for the real coding tutorials then this a good game to consider. I would say the sweet spot age wise for the Osmo Coding game is between 5-10. The Osmo Coding game is a little more complex than what a toddler will face from the Code-A-Pillar but is still very forgiving and will build up the same type of sequencing skills.

How does the Osmo Coing Game work?

The Osmo Coding game uses panels that each represent a certain type of action. These panels are attached together to create a sequence of actions. Numbers are attached to each action to dictate how many times that action should be performed before moving on to the next action. When the full sequence is ready the user presses a play button that causes Awbie to run through the set up sequence.

The flexibility of the panels allows the children to either set up one long string of actions in a complex sequence or to break that down into multiple simpler sequences. Either way they are building up an advanced sequencing skill that will be useful when they begin programming later on in life.

What makes it really awesome is what it teaches - CODING

Positives:

Physical / Digital Novelty factor - The mixture of physical and digital creates a very unique and interesting learning environment that adds some immediate interest to young children. Its a novelty factor that most toys and coding games do not have.

Panels - The Panels as control tools are well built, easily understandable, they are fun to touch and kids and adults generally want to touch them and see how they work. The panels control what is in the game very well and the way Awbie moves is easily understandable.

Scaling Complexity - Osmo allows the player to do very simple sequences or very complex ones. The game also has simple beginner aspect and scales to more complex ones. This scaling is nice because it really helps build up the Sequencing skill and this scaling is built right into the game.

Collaboration - In traditional games it is often very difficult to share a game. In this game kids can work together to code where Awbie goes by working on the same string of paneled moves together.

Simple Understandable View- While some kids are going to demand the latest in high powered realistic graphic the simple view to teach sequencing is actually a plus. The simple view really allows the user to focus on how to move around Awbie and not get caught up in surround noise and details.

Downsides
As with all Osmo games you need an Ipad if you don't have one then you will need to get one.

Children who are playing Xbox/Playstation games may be bored or disillusioned with this game as its not the action packed game they might be playing on Call of Duty. If your kid is an avid gamer you may need to explain why its important to understand sequencing. Generally, even these kids will see the novelty of the sequence panels and play it some but they may lose interest. I would say this is generally a worry for kids over the age of 8. Each kid is different and as a parent you likely know if this is a game that will entertain your kid or if they will get bored quickly by it. One way to keep the Osmo fresh is to get one or two of the other Osmo games.

What is the Fault:

The Fault is a huge rip an inter-dimensional space and time rip caused by a battle between the super powerful Vulcan and Black Bolt. Various evil universes have gained access to the main Marvel comic universe (616) thought Fault. Many heroes and alien empires are currently focused on it to eliminate potential threats.

History:
In the War of Kings story line Blackbolt created a T-Bomb designed to end the war between the Inhumans and the Shi'ar. It was Blackbolt's hope that the bomb would kill the Vulcan the highly dangerous Omega level mutant. However, the bomb seemingly killed both leaders and created the massive rip in space / time/ dimension that is the fault. The fault immediately threatened to destroy the entire universe but Adam Warlock sacrifices his life by anchoring the run off from the fault into an empty universe. This attempt stabilizes the universe but the rift in the universe remains open.

One of the univeress that access the other side of the Fault is the evil Cancerverse to enter the 616 universe in the story the Thanos Imperative. It is suggested that fault is an entry point of multiple universes though its impossible to control where one exits once one enters.

A variety of heroes including the Starjammers, Luminals, Shiar Imperial Guard, Quasar, Nova, Guardians of the Galaxy and even Thanos go into fault in an attempt to keep the the threats there at bay.

Fault in All New Marvel Universe:
The fault has not been depicted since the end of Secret Wars. This means that the anomaly may no longer exist in the All New Marvel Universe. It does appear that there is a space anomaly in Nova #11 vol 6 (2016) that looks similar to the Fault. This is shown during Sam Alexanders search for the Nova World Mind. This is still an ongoing subject of research.

Growth:
The Fault would have kept growing until it consumed the Universe until Adam Warlock managed to anchor it into an unused Universe. It is still unable to shut completely.

Marvel Cinematic Universe

The Fault is shown on Dr. Selvig's chalk board along with a reference to 616 universe. It is not known if this means there is a Fault in the Cinematic Universe of if Selvig knows about 616 through the Fault.
It is unclear what event would have caused the Fault to exist in Marcel Cinematic Universe.

Li Hua also known as Tiger's Beautiful Daughter is one of seven Immortal Weapons who represents the city of Tiger Island. She is the Daughter of Tiger Empress and Tiger Warrior. Like the other Immortal Weapons she is a fierce martial artist and also has the ability to harness and use her chi for various effects.

Li Hua grew up on a quiet island were women only engaged in parties and crafts. The men like her father would go off and fight every few years and return with great stories. Li Hua showed only disdain for the lifestyle of the women and longed for the adventures of her father, Tiger Warrior's stories. When Li Hua slept she was often greeted by her dead mother who would train her how to fight. Li Hua initially believed these dreams were only dreams and nothing more. However, it was soon revealed that she was actually learning advanced martial arts from her mother in the dreams.

An army attacked Tiger Island and Li Hua is startled to see all the men of her village flee rather than fight. Instead, of running away she engages the army and begins to defeat many soldiers with the martial arts she learned in the dreams. Looking down at many defeated foes she realizes that something is not right and confronts her father.

Her father tells her the truth. The warriors of Tiger Island have long been women, but when the island had been conquered one of the requirements was for their to be no more female warriors. The Tiger Island's female warriors had nearly been decimated so there were few adult women left who knew the truth and could carry on the old ways. Li Hua's mother was the greatest warrior of their people and known as Tiger Empress but she had died during the battle. In order to keep the women in the dark of their true place in their society the men pretended to be warriors. This meant the men had to fake going off to war every few years and a new docile life style was forced upon the women. Infuriated at the lies she had been told, Li Hua began organizing the women of the village into a fighting force. They create weapons out of any tool they can find and craft fearsome masks. After a brutal battle the women defeat the army and then begin to fully retake all of the Tiger lands.

Tiger's Beautiful Daughter is summoned to the tournament of the Seven Cities where she represents Tiger Island against the other Immortal Weapons.
In the tournament Tiger's Beautiful Daughter faces Davos the Steel Phoenix in the first round. She cuts off Davos's hand in the battle and appears to have defeated him. Somehow though Davos regrows his hand, and unleashes a violent storm of blows unyielding blows up Tiger's Beautiful Daughter he does not stop dropping blows even after she was clearly beaten. He is eventually pulled off of Tiger's Beautiful Daughter by his own father the Thunderer. His actions at nearly killing competitor are against the rules of tournament where the warriors are not meant to turn into murderers. The Prince of Orphans another Immortal Weapon takes Davos's actions as a grave insult and challenges him in the next round. Making a point The Prince of Orphans decimates Davos never giving him a chance to land a single blow.

Tiger's Beautiful Daughter is initially reluctant to help the other champions fight off an attack from Hydra. She joins when she decides that the attack could imperil her own city. She joins in the attack on the newly found 8th City of Demons. She is captured and tortured there. It is the Tiger's Beautiful Daughter that manages to escape by distracting and taking down a guard. She frees the other Immortal Weapons and they fight their way out of the city.

During Fear it Self the Immortal Weapons help close the gate to Eighth City.

Powers and Skills:

Can use her chi to enhance her speed and accuracy.

She also been shown to have some of the best mediation skills of all of the immortal weapons. She is shown meditating for 13 days.

Uses a variety of weapons but primarily fans and spears.

Weaknesses:

MCU:
There has not yet been any sign of Tiger's Beautiful Daughter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
