To help promote the upcoming Wonder Woman movie DC is having a Wonder Woman Day. Wonder Woman day plans seem to look like its own mini comic con with free Wonder Woman comics given out at select locations.
Wonder Woman day will be on June 3rd. On top of celebrating the opening of her film the day also marks the anniversary of her first appearance (75 years ago).
I do not know how Wonder Woman Day will work but I have reached out to a few people a comic store owner, and a librarian to see if they are participating and see what details they can offer me. DC says they are working with over 2000 comics stores and libraries in conjuction with the event so they are not messing around.
If you can't go to one of the stores do not dismay many retailers will have special promotions and DC themselves have released a special kit:
The kit is pretty cool and has a bunch of fun activities for young Wonder Woman fans. I printed it out and included in it are coloring pages, mazes, a paper build your own tiara, star badges, learn to draw Wonder Woman guide, word find and a few pages for kids to tell their own adventures and origin story. Cool stuff its very well done.
Free Wonder Woman Comics?
DC's Free comics for Wonder Woman day include a DC Super Hero Girls (My daughter's fave) and also a regular Wonder Woman so all age ranges are covered. It looks like Wonder Woman Day rebirth is very much designed to go along with the film.

DC Entertainment (DCE) announced today the first-ever celebration of iconic DC Super Hero and pop culture icon, Wonder Woman. “Wonder Woman Day” will take place on June 3, during the opening weekend for the theatrical release of the highly anticipated film, Wonder Woman. The celebration will honor the 75-year legacy of the Amazon Princess with wondrous festivities across the country and around the world.
More than 2,000 comic retailers, bookstores, libraries and other partners around the world will host “Wonder Woman Day” activations, including distributing free copies of two special edition issues. WONDER WOMAN DAY SPECIAL EDITION #1 reprints WONDER WOMAN #1 by bestselling writer Greg Rucka and artist Liam Sharp. For young readers, DC SUPER HERO GIRLS WONDER WOMAN DAY SPECIAL EDITION #1 features a chapter from the upcoming DC SUPER HERO GIRLS VOL. 3: SUMMER OLYMPUS, written by Shea Fontana with art by Yancey Labat.
DC has teamed up with an array of retail partners including, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Walmart, Costco and Amazon for exclusive in-store and digital promotions to create the ultimate “Wonder Woman Day” experience. Cross-divisional activations will also include Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Warner Bros. Consumer Products, alongside key partners including Six Flags Theme Parks, to further spotlight the groundbreaking DC Super Hero.
